Great news NY - must be a huge relief.

I think WIT has lost the plot with her latest purchase don't you??? I just don't get 'it' at all - it being a 600 pound skirt!

Bonsoir · 05/02/2011 12:23

OWW - I agree it's expensive, but I do think that the Jil Sander pink skirt is very beautiful!

Fleecy · 05/02/2011 13:16

What sort of money do stylists earn? I assume she gets hefty discounts? Even so, it seems like a helluva lot to spend on a one-season wonder!

ny how scary for you all and what a little star your DD is, being so brave. Hope you manage to get some rest yourself now your DH is back.

bloss how's your head this morning?

bonsoir sorry about your MIL

pickledsiblings · 05/02/2011 13:18

Fritzi, have a great holiday Smile.

Zembo · 05/02/2011 13:19

NY I'm so pleased your dd has a confirmed diagnosis and is getting the treatment she needs. Truly awful for you both but your dd sounds like a little star and hopefully she'll pick up really quickly now. The worst thing for me was not having a diagnosis.

MM I've decided to delete my start to 2011 and start all over again when I've recovered from this. I'm going to be 40 in June and the plan was to look and feel fab. I suppose there's still time yet Smile.

bonsoir sorry I missed the news about your MOL, is she unwell?

AntPants1 · 05/02/2011 13:57

NY so sorry to hear about DD that sounds like a real ideal for you all. I am glad the meds are kicking in. In my experience it is amazing how quickly children bob up again. They really can be at deaths door one minute and up and playing the next. I hope that is the case for your DD. It must have been very frightening and I am sure you will be feeling a bit shaky for a while. So glad your DH is there to provide support.

Zembo so glad to hear you are at home. I am sorry I cannot remember who was speaking to the masters of the universe for you but I agree that you really deserve some luck after such a tough time. Hopefully you will be feeling so much better, and so very well dressed!, in time for your 40 th this year. We will all be here to help you celebrate I am sure.

Bonsoir so sorry Bout DMIL. Are you close? It's really horrible to see your DH in pain. My MIL died 5 years ago and my DH was also quietly in pain. I am sure he is getting comfort just having you there.

On a frivolous note H&M bretton has not arrived yet even though I ordered it oh days ago. Stamp!!!

Am exhausted. Have just gone out for lunch with the family. 4 adults. 5 children under 6. Enough said!!!

AntPants1 · 05/02/2011 13:58

Ordeal. Sorry spell check on iPad.....mutter mutter....

Romanholiday · 05/02/2011 14:07

Dropping in to say best wishes to little Yummy. Sounds terrifying. Where was dh when you called ny ? Bet that was one of the worst journeys he's had.

And tks v much for the IO code. I think I'll order the dress in B and C and see whether I like it.

AntPants1 · 05/02/2011 14:09

carciofi thanks for IO code. Am trying to be good but you are making it so much harder!!!!

traceybath · 05/02/2011 14:18

NY - lordy how worrying. Hope you're all doing a lot better now.

Zembo - so glad you're home and that DH is being fab Smile

Been into town with my mother this morning for quick coffee and saw this which is gorgeous but am going to wait as normally a code around somewhere.

Here are some lovely shorts for any of you lovely size 8 ladies that are interested.

redllamayellowllama · 05/02/2011 16:42

Oh NY, how frightening for you. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery and home on Monday.

Bonsoir, have booked for April, so if it's awful (this would be contrary to every review going), don't say!

EBay madness continues - 22 people watching my dress and not one bid. DH has banned me from notifying him when I have a new watcher.

Picked up some old pictures I'd had in for framing today. My great-grandparents owned a chain of butcheries in Berlin pre-war and I discovered an amazing picture of the art-deco frontage which has been framed beautifully. It's made me feel a little sad though and I can't really explain why.

blossoming · 05/02/2011 17:02

Hi everyone! I'm home!!

notyummy, really feel for you and your DH. I second what ollie said about her being strong normally. Hope she gets better very soon. Thinking about you all.

zembo, so glad you're home. I'm sure you'll be looking fabulous at 40. Are you a dentist reine?
You are so due a good run from now on though zembo. Take care.

Sorry your MIL is unwell bonsoir. Men take it hard don't they? And it's often only us who see that side of them.

Had a brilliant time yesterday. I haven't been away from the kids with dh for four years. We really reconnected.
Although a tense start when dh looked round the bar in the hotel and realisation dawning that I'd been dressing him like an England rugby supporter! Ie from the Crew catalogue: brown shoes, jeans, checked shirt and round neck sweater. In complimentary colours!!
It was lovely to be surrounded by good looking well dressed men with a normal bmi. Fast forward to the match and the difference with the Welsh supporters: all overweight, some scarily so, massive beer bellies (that's just the women..) I decided rugby must be a more middle class game in England whereas it is typically a game from the poor south Wales valleys here.
At breakfast dh admitted he loved the clothes I buy him but made me promise never to buy Hacket.

Oh and by the way my outfit was perfect for the weather we had. I was even a little warm as they'd closed the roof of the stadium!

NY how is your dd? Hope all is getting better.

Zembo so glad you are at home and your dh is looking after you.

I have bought a couple more dresses in the sales, winterish, must stop and save some funds for Spring stuff.

As usual with sale stuff they could be good or bad so will have to try on to see.

hellsbelles · 05/02/2011 20:02

NY - I'm so sorry to hear about what happened with DD...that must have been terrifying for all of you. Sending vibes for a speedy recovery.

Vin - new place sounds AMAZING!! wow.

Zembo - I do understand why the tooth is getting you down...fingers crossed Reine has ideas for sorting!

Well perfect house no. 1 is now off for sure. I spoke to someone I know in the area and he told me that a local hostel is very bad now (lots of drug problems) so I think it's better to steer clear! House no. 2 is now a big possiblity...sad thing is they've just put in a kitchen...which I hate. So I would almost certainly need to replace it but would have to wait a while...but I have to accept that nothing is every exactly right with a new house is it?!!

Plum - I got the Reiss lace blouse and I LOVE it - thank you for finding it. Though advice please on what to wear underneath?! I wore a flesh colour bra which looked great but I think is a bit too sexy for day as it does look like I'm nude underneath!

bouncingblueberries · 05/02/2011 20:15

Evening ladies

Just had to check-in and let you know that for the first time in about a year, I actually felt good about what I was wearing today Grin

All inspired by this thread: skinnes, plum's breton from Zara, NORMAL bra (not bf - liberation!), ballet flats, navy boyfriend cardigan from Zara and a navy Zara scarf (plain in colour but oh so soft)

Sorry to hear about your health scares and troubles zembo and notyummy - fingers crossed for speedy recoveries in both cases.

blossoming your time away with your dh sounds like it was fun!

blossoming · 05/02/2011 20:28

Great outfit bouncing! Glad you felt good in it.
