hells I'm so sorry Sad

ny I say yes and am very envious of your waist.

Fleecy · 18/01/2011 14:34

Cream blouse with sort of drapey sleeves here today. Looks nice but a bugger to eat a meal without dipping fabric into food!

Was talking to someone about the meet-up and they recommended a venue on the list M&H. Don't know if that's of any use but thought I might as well mention!

notyummy · 18/01/2011 14:51

Looks like the dress is a keeper then. Have bursts of a little bit of energy and then need to lie down again...so not like me!

Fleecy - That venue does look good but only offered private room and wanted quite a spend per head to get in IIRC.

The last venue that was circulated at the weekend (beginning with P) is currently booked. Got a lot of good feedback, and didn't want any cash to get in[tight on behalf of those watching their budgets emoticon]. Reviews positive.

Fleecy · 18/01/2011 14:57

Ah I know which one you mean - will go and nose.

Hope you feel better soon ny and enjoy your sofa sesh in the meantime

MarshaBrady · 18/01/2011 14:58

NY I am good on the venue, I have sent a pm (I don't want to change it but check a couple of things, thanks!)

Am going to cancel all other provisional bookings.... Grin

roary · 18/01/2011 15:04

NY hope you feel better. I love what I can see of your dress Grin

Hells I'm so sorry - Pickled said just what I would say, only better.

What shoes should I wear with my J.Crew dress tonight? WOuld my brown brogues work, and if so which tights? Or could i do black tights and black shiny shoes as in pic....

redllamayellowllama · 18/01/2011 15:41

Hells, thoughts are with you.

NY, you are most definitely yummy in that dress. Hope you feel better soon.

Have had very good things about zoomba, may give it a go on the recommendations! Jamie at home prospects sound great OWW.

Pic,led, am a secondary English teacher. DH teaches a Saturday school every other week which is a necessary part of his role within school, otherwise I'd be doing it. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Sunny and bright here, think a walk in the park is on order.

Hope everyone has a lovely afternoon.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/01/2011 15:59

Wasn't going to post for a while as even annoying myself with multiple posts (!) but saw this and wondered if its for one of you? nine west animal print box clutch at bargain price!

NY - that dress is the perfect fit on you. Glad its a keeper. Managed to order a BR dress - one came back in my size but it took two phonecalls to BR in the States (will ignore phonebill!) to get the order processed!

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 17:22

hells am so sorry, Please come back soon for support or distraction

NY you look ace

quick report post_westfield to say it was lovely to see Hot Legs Bunny (honestly! oooh la la!) and gorgeous, doll-like Reine. And I got to cuddle a twin!!! all the dv are adorable. Was really lovely. Only one purchase to report, a dull gold skirt from reiss, will link later

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 17:23

all the dc I mean

blossoming · 18/01/2011 17:56

Popping in to say Love Story jeans arrived and are going back. Phew!
They are the best colour, what we used to call blue black, but the bell bottom is extreme in comparison to the skinny through to knee top half. Also they're way too long, and I don't know how they'd hang if I shortened them. Too pricey at £230 to warrant alterations.
Oh, the twins were there..! How adorable!

The dress is hugely flattering notyummy. What aren't you sure about?

Enjoy your J Crew tonight roary. But am rubbish at styling so will leave it to others to advise on legs and feet!

hells Just what Cake said.

cake what's the fit of your pleated HH like? Somebody linked to a site yesterday with this colourway on and I love it. Although fear since we are very different shapes it wouldn't work on me.

And looknig forward to your link to dull gold skirt. Did you get the tank in the end?

Hope everybody is successful with their BR orders. Some fab discounts! And the couple of bits I got there last year have been great quality.

Westfield sounds fab. Am very Envy

Must go, small boy wants a tattoo Hmm

New (old) thread here

notyummy · 18/01/2011 18:29

Thanks for kind comments on the dress. I wasn't sure if it emphasised the size of my hips too much. For my height I have a small waist, but I sometimes think that close fitting dresses show off the contrast too much with larger hips. DH (bless) always says that's the best bit but am still paranoid!

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 18:41

vin I'm not sure - it's this one. is that bonsoir's? I'm very pleased with it esp for £24!

ABO that dress... It's a long story Grin but basically it didn't make the grade during the cull and has been sold (for twice what I paid for it as I returned the Harrods one and bought new with tags on eBay) That 2 tier thing did littke for me as hid waist and added hip width but I lived the fabric so much that I tried to ignore the fact that I felt a bit like a lampshade in it. After the night I planned to wear it to nobu but didn't, and then found myself glad that I hadn't, I realised that I had plenty of other party frocks that I'd favour over and above that one.

Hence the gold skirt as it is far more versatile, not just for parties, ditto the gold tank ( yes i have it now) which can be worn with jeans.

All in all I would say that if you have a small waist and want it seen, the pleat hh is not a good choice. It did however make my legs look slim in comparison to the volume and width given by the pleats, and showed of my shoulders nicely, being spag straps.

Hope that helps!

Bonsoir · 18/01/2011 18:45

Yes, that was the one I linked to a while back - I don't own it though I think it's really lovely. At £24 it is mega bargainous - great buy Smile

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 18:46

Liked the fabric mean

And size wise, I had the 4 and it was too bug around the top.

Hth!

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 18:49

ThankS bonsoir- am going to wear it to drinks tomorrow night with opaques, shoe boots and black tank. Any other suggestions? How would you have styled it?

LetThemEatCake · 18/01/2011 18:58

Oh maybe with black lace tee for night, black cashmere polo for day...?

KILDARE4 · 18/01/2011 19:01

NY I think that style ofP8 dress is a good buy and looked great on you, could be worn with opaques or bare legs.

VIN really like those shorts, unfortunately am too old to wear themSmile

HELLS MY thoughts are with you.
