Ladies - I just spotted another thread about the Banana Republic sale and had a look. There is a lot of stuff left, some at excellent prices.

So far I have this dress, this top and this top in my basket.

I also thought this top may appeal to some of you??

Still on the sofa. Another sleepless shivery night has left me wiped out.

pickledsiblings · 18/01/2011 09:38

Good morning ladies.

Hells, thinking of you and sending you warm thoughts of sympathy/empathy. Take care of yourself and keep the channels of communication open. When we lose loved ones who are links to our past it can shake us to the core. PM me if you want to chat.

Have good days the rest of you, especially the Westfield yummy mummies Smile.

PlumSykes · 18/01/2011 09:46

Glad to see yr not to weak to shop, yummy. I'm achey today too-Sunday night's yoga has caught up with me and I can barely move my arms, plus both DCs slept reasonably well last night, and have woken with a thick head from having a whole seven hours of sleep. Think will nap when DS does. Mmm, laziness is good sometimes.

PlumSykes · 18/01/2011 09:48

Forgot it was Westfield today-have fun! You know, have never been. Think will have a day trip once the stores have spring collections firmly in place. I used to see a hypnotherapist in W10, and my journey there was hugely inconvenienced by the building work,so feel I ought to enjoy the benefit of it too!

Lovely idea thank you Plum - boys would love the noise that would make! Will def use esp as I have some long rolls stashed somewhere. Have also found this jingle wristband which we could do with felt and sew a few bells on here - cute eh?

NY, thanks for the BR info, I've just ordered a few nice things - it puts you off paying full price for anything from them though.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/01/2011 10:22

Love that dress notyummy - sofa sounds like the best place to be.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/01/2011 10:29

What do we know about BR sizing? Average or on the small size? There is a nice dress but only available in a US10 (UK14). I'm normally a 12?

pickledsiblings · 18/01/2011 10:37

OWW, I know nothing about the sizing Blush. I just assumed (for my purchases) that XS was 8 and S was 10.

OWW- I suspect that would be too big. On iPhone can difficult to see sizing chart, but I think small is 8/10 and XS is 4/6. Same firm as Gap aren't they, and their sizing is usually quite big.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/01/2011 10:43

Thats a shame Vin but thanks for the info - I like the monogram cross fronted dress but fear it may be too big and its not the sort of dress you could get away with not fitting!

notyummy · 18/01/2011 11:33

Mac- Thanks so much- the skinnies arrived today! Will make donation to GOSH. I see what you mean re the sizing - my coated skinnies are a 4, but they feel tighter than these. Maybe less elastane or something? Gap def has some vanity sizing going on! These claim to be a 27, but I have a pair of TS 28s that feel a little bit snugger than these! These will be ideal when I don't want to have to suck my tummy in and I am sure I will get a lot of use.

loobylu3 · 18/01/2011 11:56

hells- so sorry to hear about your grandmother :(

NY- get better soon!

Hope those of you meeting at Westfield have a great time! Envy

notyummy · 18/01/2011 12:40

I have raised myself from the Sofa of Sickness to accept a Phase 8 delivery. Dress fits ok, but am not 100% sure. Pic is on profile and would welcome views - with apologies in advance for scary haggard face and the mess that is DDs bedroom!

Would probably wear with opaques to work at the moment, but bare legged for summer.

pickledsiblings · 18/01/2011 12:45

yes to dress NY, I think it looks v. nice with bare legs

off to pick DS2 up from nursery, back later

blossoming · 18/01/2011 13:03

Wow, your figure looks amazing in that dress notyummy. Can't tell about the colour or anything due to bad photo [stern]. Glad you're feeling better.
Love Story's should arrive today. But I'm off teaching, and my dear mum who's in charge will probably go out for a walk with dd as it's beautiful and sunny. Would it be so wrong to ask her to stay in..?!

Oh Hells Sad ...sending you big hugs

NY - I'd say keep the dress!

Lovely sunny but very chilly day here...am rather wrapped up in black cashmere...oh, all in black, even down to undies. And feet .....

Oh, really not getting the colour thing. Don't think I am an Autumn after all Bloss...although love brown, but I love silver rather than gold on me; yellow, charcoal, navy, blues, and have blonde (highlighted) hair, although naturally would be a very dark blond/light brown and have hazel eyes. Not pale skinned...what do you think Oh Wise One?
