Hells and Everything Sorry for your bad news.

Bloss You must go for the job. Think of the DVF treats for the family Grin

blossoming · 17/01/2011 21:28

I have such a 'positive mental attitude' girls I'm already planning my working wardrobe!
carciofi, dh is really enthusiastic which has surprised me. Probably pleased at the prospect of me paying for my own hair appointments!
Which reminds me, the most uber of the area's yummy mummies asked me today where I get my hair done! I admitted London, but in a whisper!

Bloss That's great re dh - he will just want you to use your great skills to the full.

The commute (over slow roads) will be bearable. No longer than jumping on the tube from one end of London to the other timewise.

Good to hear you are already planning your working wardrobe - that's my girl! Smile

loobylu3 · 17/01/2011 21:40

Thx red! I just saw your photos too- you looking great, especially in the last picture with your hair down and fringe flicked to the side- like a film star!
Will e mail you re dress rather than boring everyone else!

blossoming · 17/01/2011 21:43

Thanks hf!
Grr at dh still working so can't open your lovely photos red.
I'm glued to Biggest Loser. Davina in a great red dress.

Good evening everyone, and Happy Birthday!

Hells, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, thats really tough. Take care.

Everything, hope the news got better as the day went on, and that redeployment seems likely.

Bloss, the initial chat with the head sounds really encouraging, and it's great how excited you sound, really hope it works out.

HF, there's a call-out for you on another thread re the last 'sleb' thread, they're speculating about Victoria's pregnancy. Those threads make me laugh!

It sounds like there isn't a lot of scope for another role for me, so I'm going to take redundancy - though I don't think I'm going to pursue a claim as there may be scope for consultancy work there in the future.

Still need a killer interview outfit though!

PlumSykes · 17/01/2011 21:50

Just had unexpected Date Night with DH, Think it's because we are on a 'no booze in the house' rule for 3 months. I can see him suggesting lots more nights out. Grin

Was good to catch up though, esp. as DD is at her most challenging, and feel like we are constantly snipping at her, or at each other. Had dinner at newly tarted up pub 10 mins walk away. I had delish calves liver with broccoli and carrots. Yum. Only one drink, though, and head feels all swishy. Am going to be hopeless at meet-up!

hells, hope things are okay for you and yours. I have finally got round to reading the Goop link. Hilarious, though enraging. Funny how none of them mention the nanny/driver/housekeeper. Do you subscribe to it? Not sure I could bear to. Friend of mine has a son in same class as Apple Paltrow at school, very funny stories!

ny, missed that you have been poorly, hope are on mend now.

Choo are you waiting on one LV, or 2? Hope you are ringing them daily. No, hourly!

Roma, my blog is here, but woefully out of date. Plan to update tomorrow pm, when DH is out for eve. Will post when I have done it.

blossoming · 17/01/2011 22:00

Very wise apuski. Wish dh would stop working so I could join you in the killer interview outfit search!

OP posts:
pickledsiblings · 17/01/2011 22:00

Apuski, consultancy work can be very lucrative flexible. You sound like you are taking it all on the chin, good for you Smile.

RLYL, like looby I love the last pic. You look very pretty with a fringe but prettier still without. What do you teach? You could tutor w/e mornings while DH spends time with DD (if he's at home then).

Bloss glad the chat with the Head went well. Good luck with the application. Lots of advice from Theo on the TES website.

DH and I are shredding without weights, we are so unfit. Even still, I am sure I can notice the difference.

OllieWollieWoo · 17/01/2011 22:12

Back from Zumba - good workout but I really can't shimmey (sp?) v well!

Told DH about JO At Home - he asked where we would store all the products? He has a point! Maybe I will just host one and invite all and sundry to come - unlike this bloody Tupperware party which is turning into a nightmare!
Night all.

MarshaBrady · 17/01/2011 22:17

Choo can take ages for payment to reach me as it goes through many people. I am last and have no contact or financial control over original people so can be frustrating! Will show what I do at meet up (if anyone interested sure we prob will forget!)

I like our venue choice best, but was surprised to see one can go to the selective private ones...I said we were a 'fashion crowd' hahaha. Will pm you tomorrow...

Verity I know! Liberty is a bit of a damp squib atm. Old unwanted stuff and no new stuff. And even NaP isn't tempting me... Wait a bit sure it will.

Ds2 is a bit congested which means extra bf'ding. Am zonked.

Fleecy · 17/01/2011 22:24

oww I can't shimmy either, or only a little bit. And in our new body jam there's a routine requiring a Beyonce style ass-shaking. I can do it for oh, all of three seconds, rather than the long stretch that's required. It makes me feel old Grin

Fleecy · 17/01/2011 22:25

marsha you'll show us? Am intrigued!

carciofi · 17/01/2011 22:26

Redllamayellowllama, I think you look very glam with the side-swept fringe.

Verity, I have to admit that my skinny jeans are a little uncomfortable by the end of the day and I have put on 7 lbs. Hope your aunt is being well looked after.

Two parcels are still missing and the two companies that have received my return parcels have not issued refunds yet. I am quite keen to get that money back before My-Wardrobe charge DH's credit card for the Belstaff boots!

Bloss, glad DH is supportive ... as well he should be. :)

Apuski, sorry there isn't another role but consultancy work sounds good.

ApuskiDusky · 17/01/2011 22:27

Can someone pm me to confirm the date and hotel for the meet-up? I have just decided 'sod it' and am going to come, and I think I know all the details, but before I commit to spending money, just want to double check!

Oh Fleecy - how nice it is to read your post! There are a few youn'úns in the class who are so light on their feet and shimmey and shake effortlessly - I feel like a lump - a very stiff lump! We have to do a move called ride the pony - mortifying!
Am really going to bed now!

OllieWollieWoo · 17/01/2011 22:33

Everything - sorry to read about job related woes. Glad you have found Glee tho - I just watch it with a smile on my face! Notyummy is another closet fan too! (Have the best of season 1 CD too which I fold the ironing too - the time flies!)
Please show me how to shimmy at MU!

Really, really off to bed now!

ApuskiDusky · 17/01/2011 22:37

Thanks ny!

mrsjuan · 17/01/2011 22:38

Oww - I am supposed to be going to a zumba class on friday but i think you may have just put me off with the ride the pony move Shock

Fleecy · 17/01/2011 22:48

oww is that an upper body roll with slight gyrating of the hips? SIL and I weren't sure if we were supposed to be rolling our hips and the instructor had just stuck their belly out a bit or if it was supposed to be a ripple down to the hips - so we sort of did some of one and some of the other and hoped for the best. This cheered me as SIL is 5yrs younger than me and can dance! Please don't be put off mrsj it's fun, promise! Not going to get you toned for life but enjoyable way to burn calories and become more co-ordinated.

Have been dancing for a 14mo now and deffo way better than I was (although not up to everything's standards...) Wink

Glee fans here too.

Fleecy · 17/01/2011 22:51

Forgot to say earlier, DH is an accountant and never once mentioned payment on account the first year I was self employed. You can imagine how pleased I was with him that year...

plum how lovely to have the night out. Am waiting until Feb for ours when DH's busy period is over and he can have a life again! Perhaps you should have a permanent home boozing ban?!

FrancesFarmer · 17/01/2011 22:54

I just wanted to wish the wise and avid group a happy birthday - I've read the threads on and off throughout the year and really enjoyed them and benefited from your collective wisdom. Really ought to post but it' s hard to keep up.

CHOOGIRL · 18/01/2011 00:01

Hi Bunny Hope you have a fantastic time with cake et al tomorrow.
Is it me or has ASOS stopped doing childrenswear?
