Hells so sorry about your grandmother. Hope your lovely mum is ok

Roary yes did see yr question re burglar/ lion but have been mid-blog about it for weeks and am only prepared to write about it once lest I bore myself! But will finish blog and link here. Burglar's stripey top was too much of a style opp to miss

Dhl has been and taken that dastardly Alice and Olivia top

And I need someone to give me one good reason not to buy purple hh dress

Tracey hope you're ok. Can you check your fb inbox please when you get a chance?

loobylu3 · 17/01/2011 14:00

everything- do you mind if I ask you a quick question as you seem to be into colours and I know that you are an autumn.
I have been puzzling over my season since reading about colours on this thread. I originally though I was a Summer or possibly a Winter as I thought my skin tone was cool. However, after putting some cool/ warm colours up against my face last night, I'm less sure. I have a whole wardrobe full of cool colours which could be the reason why I feel the need to wear so much blusher!! I think I might be an Autumn. I think I am too dark to be Spring/ Summer (medium- dark brown hair which does have slightly blond highlights in the sun), medium brown eyes, darker than average skin but not quite olivey. Could that be an Autumn or does one have to have red/ auburn highlighted hair? There is a pic on my webpage although it is rather small and my hair is highlighted so looks lighter than my natural colour :)

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 14:00

Afraid there isn't one LTEC. You should probably go ahead and buy it, seeing ass you got an unexpected windfall and all.

Am wondering if it is the done thing to buy oneself a birthday present? And if it is, should I get it?

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 14:03

No colours guru, but can I see your pic looby? Smile Also, did you make a decision on the Whistles dress?

macmama · 17/01/2011 14:05

Sorry to hear that hells glad that she is in the right place though.

My new favourite belt from UO is here the skinny eyelet belt, ok its not leather but can?t recommend it highly enough.

tracey thank you for compliment re DD

Talking of burglar stripey tops, one of the teachers at DD?s school was dress as Burglar Bill in a B&W Breton, black skinny jeans, black gloves, black cap and an eye mask, topped it off with a baby doll in a sack. I thought that was a great idea!

Fleecy · 17/01/2011 14:08

cake am very jealous of your tax bill being lower than you thought. Mine is very sadly the other way round which ought to be good and mean I earned more than I had realised but isn't good as it is all gone! And I don't use an accountant but do it all myself so you'd think I would know!

It's that bl**dy payment on account. Gets me every time.

macmama · 17/01/2011 14:11

Sympathies Fleecy I would find that side of working for myself hard work! Its bad enough just DH keeping on top of company tax and he uses an accountants firm!

MarshaBrady · 17/01/2011 14:15

Aw Fleecy, dastardly tax bill commiserations, although tis good to have earned more than thought! Just completed mine, yay! has been hanging over me for weeks.

Hells sorry to hear about your grandmother. Hope you are ok.

On a good note my financial blockage has been unplugged! Big payment now on it's way here.

BUT I am going to keep exercising this constraint. Tis good for me.

I am throwing it into the deposit pot to move to a bigger house in next couple of years. SO I need to only buy the good stuff......

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 14:28

NB Harpers has the dresses by colour too so no DM added value Wink

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 14:31

Thanks Roma, will go to DM no more. Somehow managed to get myself onto a Liz Jones article. She is essentially a female Alan Partridge, but even more delusional!

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 14:38

Hooray Red Smile

I feel the need to share that I have cancelled my Davina order in the spirit of not spending loads of money. Shock I am become addicted to not buying clothes Shock

But I have ordered a Babyliss big hair whotsit, hoping to look a bit more salony. I think I'm v.mean beautywise. My main 'product' is aqueous cream to cleanse, which is oily, so avoids need for moisturiser, and costs about £1.

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 14:42

Roma, I used to use aqueous cream in my wet hair as a styling product. Was going for a wet-look Louise Wener and it always did the trick. Use it on the DC's now and had never thought to use it on me. Good tip.

PlumSykes · 17/01/2011 14:58

Bloss, this cashmere a good colour for you?

notyummy · 17/01/2011 15:04

Parcel arrived for DH today. Judging by where it comes from I think my Babyliss Bighair hopes have been granted!

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 15:04

red I just rub it on dry skin, rinse off, pat dry, end of beauty regime (unless sunny in which case sunscreen).

roary · 17/01/2011 15:18

Looby can you see my pics? I am an Autumn (HofC) and suspect a Deep Autumn in the Colour Me Beautiful system (that Everything recommends). According to HoC I am Deep Blue Autumn, meaning I can wear quite a few summer colours.

notyummy · 17/01/2011 15:19

Just read back through.

So sorry to hear about your Grandma Hells.

Hope your DS feels better soon Tracey.

MarshaBrady · 17/01/2011 16:03

Ooh one of the nice private members' clubs got back to me. Seems they would let us in!

But it's too late now? For next time perhaps.

I am interested to know if anyone has been to this one... looks nice... and if any good.
