Grr breakfast

PS I will be honouring the spirit of W&A today by wearing a horrible new swimsuit for baby swimming. I've lost mine and had to pick one up locally yesterday. Bet I'll run into Cake again!

LetThemEatCake · 17/01/2011 07:48

Lol oooh Grin

Oh no Tracey poor ds and poor you. Hope he's on the mend soon

In spirit of the day I am dressed in various W&A favourites: stripey Janice, Falke tights, belstaffs.

Operation Lark success this morning: 2 pieces written before L woke up at 6.45. Hurrah!

pickledsiblings · 17/01/2011 07:53

Good morning ladies. Happy Birthday to you all. Well done LTEC and tracey for starting what is a wonderful thread and thank you to the rest of you for your wonderful contributions Smile.

Tracey, I hope DS is OK. My DS was off school for 3 days last week but all in all his symptoms were quite mild. Hope it's something similar.

NY hope you are feeling a bit better this morning. Take it easy if possible.

Have good days all.

hellsbelles · 17/01/2011 08:07

happy birthday all! And welcome all delurkers.

Cake I should have joined you in operation lark...no sleep for me last night - I don't know why I persist trying to sleep rather than just getting up.

Tracey Sad - poor DS.

Right off to get my blood tests and then work...have a lovely birthday all Grin

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 08:16

Happy birthday W & A ladies!

Ooh, am I right in thinking that it is your birthday tomorrow? That'll be me, you and Kevin Costner. Speaking from experience of one who didn't tell DH that I really didn't like his bag of choice, you absolutely must be honest. I never use the bag he spent a lot of money on a few years ago, he has noticed and I think it is upsetting him as he was convinced he had chosen well. I must start using it actually.

Sorry to hear about DS Tracey, hope he is on the mend soon.

Hello to all newbies, it's lovely being involved in this thread (from a once habitual lurker).

The other red, agree with colour diagnosis from other ladies; you're very pretty indeed.

Will catch up properly in a bit, have just realised I have no contact lenses and am vain enough to march through the rain to get some.

mrsjuan · 17/01/2011 08:19

Happy Birthday everone! I have regressed to my pre thread state today in jeans and hoodie. in my defence I have to do dog walking and swimming this morning and will change when I take DD to her little friend's house later - promise Smile

I will probably jinx everything now but I have to share that my wonderful daughter has now slept through the night consistently for 7 days. Could this be it? Please please please!

Tracey - hope DS is better soon - there's plenty of things going around atm that aren't the dreaded SF.

Also, I meant to say to Our Great Leader that I'm so pleased for you on both the weight loss and, more importantly your sandwich treat - well done on both fronts.

Welcome to all the delurkers

FritziGreenEyes · 17/01/2011 08:22

Happy birthday lovely ladies!

And welcome red and itsnotunusual!

Planned my day off in honour of this birthday and got dressed in skinnies, breton, Zara charcoal cardi with sparkles, shoe boots and fake fur Lipsy this morning. After scraping ice off the car for 20 minutes I discovered that the car didn't start so had to walk DD to kindergarten and my plans for having a trip into town and a good browse around the shops have failed miserably, grrr. As a little consolation I bought a pain au raisin from our local, obviously fake but lovely French bakery and now I'm home waiting for AA services which might take "a couple of hours". At least I'm inside, have my laptop and nice coffee Smile.

AllBuggiedOut · 17/01/2011 08:22

Happy birthday all! Am wearing my Asos owl necklace in celebration. Back later Smile

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 08:25

Happy Birthday everyone! Get well soon to NY and littleBath. Welcome redliquorice and itsnotunusual lovely photo Red - you are v beautiful.

Can someone link to the super-cheap HH again?

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 08:25

Ooooh point Dh towards diamonds next year since he's clearly a big spender. Much harder to get wrong Wink

FritziGreenEyes · 17/01/2011 08:29

tracey Couldn't one of the other parents take DS2 to school so you don't have to rush around with DS1 being ill? Hope rest and maybe some medication will help him to get better soon!

hells Are you ok? Hope blood test results are nothing to worry about.

Yay for little missjuan and sleeping through!

RipMacWinkle · 17/01/2011 08:31

Just a quick hello this morning to wish you all a Happy Birthday! Can't believe that it's been a year since Cake admitted that she wasn't sure on the "Buy nothing for a year" thing and would rather be Wise and Avid

Hope your DS is ok Tracey, it's horrible when DC aren't well, you feel so helpless and they're so small.

Fritzi fingers crossed AA don't take long. Their "couple of hours" seems to be a variable timeline.

Love, love that swallow scarf from Oasis. Not sure if colours are for a Spring but may have to hunt it down to check it out in RL.

Sending you all the best kind of birthday cake, Virtual. Much less fattening Grin

RipMacWinkle · 17/01/2011 08:32

Oh yes and MrsJuan very, very, very jealous on the sleeping front. Both of my little darlings are poor sleepers and don't I feel it! Long may it continue.

FritziGreenEyes · 17/01/2011 08:32

notyummy How are you feeling this morning? Hope you are tucked up in bed!

roman Purple HH here. There was also one on Ebay but that was a bigger size iirc.

FritziGreenEyes · 17/01/2011 08:35

ollie Have you heard: CF won Golden Globes for Best Actor!

OllieWollieWoo · 17/01/2011 08:40

Just having my DM (Daily Mail) catch up now Fritzi - yey for Colin!

Actually, lots of red carpet dresses to pour over here

Tracey poor DS. Hope he feels better as the day goes on.

Romanholiday · 17/01/2011 08:41

btw CF is really nice. He helped with with publicity for s'th at work about 18 months ago. Just as lovely as he seems.

OllieWollieWoo · 17/01/2011 08:43

OMG - Helen BC wore different coloured shoes on each foot!

OllieWollieWoo · 17/01/2011 08:47

At the risk of sounding slightly obsessive - here is a very nice quote from CF's speech:
And he had the audience in fits of laughter as he referred to his age and said: 'To get to this stage of your life with your dignity and judgment intact can be somewhat precarious.

'Sometimes all you need is a bit of gentle reassurance to keep you on track but right now this (the award) is all that stands between me and a Harley Davidson'

Bless!

WOW Roman lucky you re CF!

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 08:49

Yuck to the start to your day Fritzi, hope you're not waiting for too long. Better to be waiting at home than to have broken down on your way back!

Yay for 7 nights of unbroken sleep MrsJ, long may it continue.

Hope you enjoy the cinema tonight LTEC, went to see it at one of those Big Scream numbers last week and thoroughly enjoyed, despite the volume of screamers. Baby N seems to be a fan of CF too - she was enthralled.

Love the HH dress. I tried it on in emerald green, but was 7 months pregnant and, unsurprisingly, it looked rubbish. Wonder if it might work now?

Bloss am Shock at your MiL's antics. Will you take her to task?

redllamayellowllama · 17/01/2011 08:59

X-post re CF, very Envy of Roma. Glad to hear he is a nice man. like it when my vision of a celeb is affirmed. Think I'm similarly obsessed OWW..!

AntPants1 · 17/01/2011 09:07

Happy birthday!

Does anyone have the initiating post? Did you have a set of aims? Isn't fantastic that so many if us are lured in to de-lurk? Seriousy love far too many of the things you link. Speaking of which my Pure 'gloss' jacket arrived this morning in grey. Tis lovely. Am thrilled. Was bait worried that my 34Fs would ruin the line ( are you ladies picking up on my non love of my boobs, ruined I tell you after breastfeeding and BIGGER! I mean everyone told me they would be smaller....>. Anyway back to the point the jacket is lovely even with my boobs and so soft. Thanks for sharing blows . X

AntPants1 · 17/01/2011 09:09
