Oh woops I've just accidentally bought one. Couldn't find any in stock anywhere yesterday so took this as fate telling me I had enough hair crap apparatus. Then you drop the Currys bombshell: fate clearly telling me to get one.

Bloody fate.

This better be good...

PuppyMonkey · 15/12/2010 13:23

Hooray, I'm getting one for Xmas.

I started a thread asking for opinions weeks and weeks ago, hardly got any replies. Jealous of your success . Wink

NormaStanleyFletcher · 15/12/2010 13:24

OK - it is my birthday and there is on in stock in my local argos.

Shall I do it?

Argos website says it's £44.99 - has it gone up??

AbsofCroissant · 15/12/2010 13:31
Envy

I want lovely swooshy hair, but can't justify a £40-£50 new hair apparatus.

Will pretend this doesn't exist until the next pay cheque (I am spelling that correctly?) comes in.

oneortwo · 15/12/2010 14:06

yes I used it on max

argos says 44 but if you buy it its 35ish

MrsDingDongMerrily · 15/12/2010 17:02

It went up overnight at Argos, I reserved one at £35 last night, went to get it today and the man said £45, I queried it, and he looked it up, said it had gone up overnight and gave it to me at the cheaper price.

tiokiko · 15/12/2010 17:15

Argos tried that with me too and had to get two managers to scrutinise my reservation confirmation before they decided they 'would give it to me at £35' - that's nice of them.

I assumed that my reservation number would have shown the price but apparently not - bit of a crap system but it was OK in the end.

tiokiko · 15/12/2010 17:16

PS they said that prices are changing constantly on lots of stuff at the moment.

MrsDingDongMerrily · 15/12/2010 17:31

Yes, I could see on the Argos computer screen that the price on these had been up and down like a yoyo. Will definitely be making note of prices when I reserve from now on, if I had sent DH to pick it up like I often do he would have not known and paid the full amount.

BlooKangaWonders · 15/12/2010 17:36

Me n'all at Argos! Eventually paid £35.85 - slightly random sounding figure but better than the £45 they first wanted.
Now off to swish and swirl...

Lavitabellissima · 15/12/2010 17:38

I'm such a sucker, just been out and bought one in the new Asda near me £35 Xmas Grin happy Xmas to myself!

BitOfFalalalalaa · 15/12/2010 19:20

I'll get one for dd1 after Xmas I think. Or hang around in case anybody falls out of love Xmas Grin

nigglewiggle · 15/12/2010 20:04

Argos tried it on with me too. DH went to collect and could show them the confirmation email on his phone. Thank goodness for modern technology. Grin

BlooKangaWonders · 15/12/2010 20:29

MINE DOESN'T ROTATE :( :( :(

am I being dense or have I got a rogue one.
sob

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 15/12/2010 20:46

It only rotates when switched on and not on cool setting.

My hairdresser and I had same problem

BlooKangaWonders · 15/12/2010 20:52

[slinks away v sheepishly to go and swish and swirl]

thank you!

AntPants1 · 15/12/2010 21:18

After seeing everyone rave about this I went out and bought one today. One word. MARVELOUS.
x

NormaStanleyFletcher · 15/12/2010 23:15

Just tried mine (yes I went and bought the last one in the local argos) and oh my - I am not a girly girl and am shit at hair-driers but this is fab!

TheNextMrsClaus · 15/12/2010 23:38

Just bought mine! I found myself outside Superdrug during my lunch-hour, and they had several in stock; I paid £39.99.

DH wants to wrap it up and "give" it to me for Christmas from the dcs, but I've got my office Christmas Do tomorrow and I want PARTY HAIR!

(Maybe if I use it very carefully and put it back in the box, no-one will ever know Wink)

brimfull · 15/12/2010 23:46

does no one else have trouble with the purple cover thing?

Kristingle · 15/12/2010 23:57

i got mine yesterday in Argos for £35 and have come to report back

i have shoulder length fine straight hair with lots of layers. i found it reasonably easy to use , the tutorials on You Tube were a great help. I used a clip and didnt get the layers tangled at all

it made my hair very soft and smooth BUT all the volume fell out after about 5 minutes Sadbefore i could swish

i realise this is the fault of the styling product and not the hairdryer so now i need your advice on what products to use for lot of volume on my soft hair?

BTW i had no trouble with the cover

snice · 16/12/2010 00:11

had them for £39 in Wilkos today

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 16/12/2010 06:49

yy ggirl. Had to wrestle with it to get it off the first time but comes off better now.

brimfull · 16/12/2010 08:19

kristingle-tony & guy root boost mousse in red can is great for volume
