Oh my goodness - it's fab :o

Even on dry hair that needs washing and without even brushing it first, it has transformed it in about two minutes into something approaching a hairstyle. I am hopeless at blow drying and usually end up using straighteners when I can be bothered (not often) but mostly it looks like an elderly bird's nest. No more! And it's so fast that I think even I could be bothered to do that every time I wash it.

"Even on dry hair that needs washing"

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 14/12/2010 17:40

Tried mine on my thick shoulder length layered hair which hasn't been washed for 2 days and it works! Tis fully of body!

Very very easy to use.

LadyBiscuit · 14/12/2010 18:13

:o flowery

But tell your DH to order it fast won't you as there are very few left in stock anywhere.

It was £36 in Argos today. I keep looking at myself in the mirror. I suspect there is a subconscious voice saying 'because I'm worth it' Xmas Blush

ChippedChinaTeacup · 14/12/2010 18:39

It's fab!

I posted a link further up where they're still in stock at 39.95 and they arrived the next day. I bought two, one for me and one for my daughter.

I want one, I want one, I WANT ONE!!

I have nightmare fine, floppy hair, and use a hot air brush, but it is old and knackered and just not giving me the va-va-voom any more.

I think I have some Boots Advantage Points left over from my Mooncup purchase Wink so I'll start my search there.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 14/12/2010 19:25

Are you out of the bath yet Shiney?

Got mine today and wet my hair a little to try it but it didnt make much of a difference, what am I doing wrong, how long do you spend on a section of hair and do you keep moving it up and down ? It was ok but not as great as you all seem to have found it :(

petitdonkey · 14/12/2010 19:57

Mumsnet just keeps costing me money.....

Have ordered mine!!

traceybath · 14/12/2010 20:00

God I am so ridiculous. I don't need one - I have a shortish layered bob that needs blow-drying and then quick once-over with straighteners but still I want one.

But you know if I did buy one - where is cheapest?

pagwatch · 14/12/2010 20:05

If your hair is drier or greasier than usual you may want to adjust how much styling product you are using. I have to use less...

AitchTwoOh · 14/12/2010 20:45

dry it upside down, mum2, and just keep twirling at the scalp.

traceybath i have the same hairstyle, and i find it great, but i do have to roughen it up with the hairdryer again or it looks a bit 'set'.

dietcoke have you opened it yet?? ....still havent opened mine - argos is the cheapest i found with stock!

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 14/12/2010 21:15

Not opened yet. Too busy mumsnetting studying Grin

brimfull · 14/12/2010 21:15

traceybath-me too, have layered bob and have bought one from argos on the strength of this thread ..am such a sucker.
Btw argos was £33.
Haven't tried it yet, just got it today..have a horrible feeling I will end up loking like an american talk show host with mega big hair Grin

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 14/12/2010 21:28

OK. Have now tried it on washed hair. Still very easy to use and gives good root lift. Lovely bouncy smooth hair. Not to much of the Sally Jessy Raphaels (I hope) Grin

AitchTwoOh · 14/12/2010 21:36

with shorter hair it's good for boofing if you do it underneath THEN immediately rotate in other direction for flickage.

panettoinydog · 14/12/2010 21:38

Oh! You lot are still talking about these. I am pretty ure dh managed to get one for me at the weekend. Don;t know if I can wait till a week saturday

WilfShelf · 14/12/2010 21:38

I am going to wait until after Christmas when you all sell your unopened ones on ebay Grin

panettoinydog · 14/12/2010 21:40

what do mean, adjust the styling product, pags? Do you mean the extra heat will dry out your hair? Or less mousse etc is needed due to skill of Big Hair machinery?

LadyBiscuit · 14/12/2010 21:41

supersal - you have hair like me (poor thing :o). This will cut your styling time by a third probably (although maybe a bit less given you're probably not quite as inept as me when it comes to hair styling)

pinkestpink · 14/12/2010 21:46

dietcoke me neither will reconsider in morning - my long think overgown (desperately need hair appointment before purchasing hair products) will have a field day rotating! Just wondering if i will be able to get out - but im sold on "mega big" hair as mentioned above, love big hair!!
