Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

OOOOoooo, but yours are all sparkly Ms T.

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 10:44

I wish!

Love the caffeine cartoon NNN and the pictures of MsT

LOL at imagining MsT with huge medallions round her neck - bring back the A-Team!

NannyNooNoo · 26/09/2005 10:51

Can't believe I nearly forgot to up-date you on little Lea's progress!!!

Lea had another hip scan Wednesday and its looking good. A normal hip has a ball joint and a 'bowl' shape but Lea's 'bowl' shaped bit was more like a plate so the ball wouldn't fit in.

The scan showed that the 'bowl' has grown a bit, it still may need surgery but they are going to scan it again in 6wks to see if it has grown any more!

The orthopeadic surgeon was very surprised, and he said that it has gone from the worst one he has seen to one that should be able to be corrected.

FruitAndNutcase · 26/09/2005 10:53

That is great news about Lea NNN. I hope she continues to progress well x

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 10:58

That's fantastic NNN about time you had some good news, really pleased for you - and your dd and dgd of course

tarantula · 26/09/2005 11:03

Speak to you all tomorrow girls as am away home now

Brilliant news about Lea tho thats fantastic

NannyNooNoo · 26/09/2005 12:00

Thank you everyone, (talk to you tommorrow Ms T)we saw the orthopeadic surgeon on Friday DD was very happy, the PND was forgotten, it was DD's birthday Saturday so I had the kids over-night while she went out to celebrate!!!

BTW I won't be without a computer for much longer, BM NO1's DH builds/fixes computers for a living so he is going to look at mine and take all of the bits off that he can use and build me a better one. Yippie!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 12:35

Glad dd is happy NNN, she deserves some good news too

Nice to know there are some nice BMs out there - where did you get her from, can I have one please??

NannyNooNoo · 26/09/2005 12:50

Lol, BM1 is lovely, BM2 is a complete nightmare so she more than makes up for having the nice BM1!

BM1 can symathise with me over BM2 because she used to have to put up with her, lucky thing doesn't now as the kids have grown up! But apparently BM2 used to frequently turn up on BM1's doorstep and shout and scream at her for no apparent reason!!

At least she doesn't come here and shout.....

she does it over the phone!!!!!! lol

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 13:00

I did think that actually NNN - I know what a nightmare you have with BM2 so you're quite right, you do deserve a good one!

Seriously I shouldn't really grumble about mine cos she's not really that bad. I used to grumble tho until I read some of the things that you poor ladies have to put up with!

I'm still almost falling asleep - don't know what's wrong with me today, good job my phone keeps ringing or I think I'd be napping on my desk

NannyNooNoo · 26/09/2005 13:02

NAAM maybe I should forward your phone number to BM2, tell her its mine, that'll keep you awake!!!! lol

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 13:09

LOL NNN

Less than 4 hours to go (not that I'm counting of course....) Lunch at 2, DP is coming down to see me so hope he can wake me up

He's got dsd staying over tonight too - think I might be in bed before her!

NannyNooNoo · 26/09/2005 13:14

I'm always in bed before the step-kids, its normal isn't it? lol

FruitAndNutcase · 26/09/2005 13:15

BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

FruitAndNutcase · 26/09/2005 13:15

There did that wake you up NAAM? Lol

NotActuallyAMum · 26/09/2005 13:21

Oohh yes that's woken me up - thanks FANC

Yes NNN - you're probably right maybe I should make a point of going to bed before dsd more often

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 11:19

Just been on a driving lesson and nearly had an accident!!!!

There I was driving along on my side of the road when a great big Silver Truck on the other side of the road decided to overtake the bus on his side of the road, therfore going onto my side of the road and nearly crashed into my car!!!

"LOOK OUT! BE CAREFUL OF THIS IDIOT!" shouted the driving instructor,

"That idiot is my idiot partner", I replied!!

I swear its true!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 27/09/2005 11:28

Sorry but I couldn't help laughing at that - even though I know I shouldn't cos I know what a nightmare you're having with your driving

Wouldn't like to be in his shoes later......

Funny that - when I was posting yesterday I kept meaning to ask how your driving's going, now I know!

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 11:31

Don't worry I phoned him and shouted as soon as I got back!

Did a really good impression of BM2 and he was PMSL!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to admit it was funny though!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 27/09/2005 11:36

Yes, you'd have to laugh that one

Did he realise it was you at the time or did he find out when you phoned him?

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 11:41

Oh yes, he realised it was me when he nearly crashed head on with me, he went back to where he was working, told everyone and was ROFL because he worked out what was being said in my car! He told me what had been said as he could see me 'mouth it'!!!

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 11:44

NAAM, How was lunch with your dp yesterday?

NotActuallyAMum · 27/09/2005 12:14

It was OK thank you NNN, he had dsd overnight yesterday and one of my nieces came down too - her and dsd get on really well which is nice - so it wasn't a "normal" night for us but it was a good one

DP is in the doghouse at the mo tho....was going to start a thread to ask what you ladies thought but it's too late to do anything about it now so I'll cope - GRRR!

I can just imagine your DPs face when he realised it was you driving that car

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 12:35

Its realy nice that you have family members that are around the same age and get on with your step-kids, it makes everyone feel more like a 'family'.

I know that when we have dgs with the step-kids we feel more like a family unit and I feel more 'involved' with everything, its not them and me, its us.

NannyNooNoo · 27/09/2005 12:37

P.s Dp was laughing his idiot head off when he realised it was me! The driving instructor, on the other hand, didn't quite know what to say to me!
