Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Hey Im back. Internet has been sooooo slow that by the time I got the thread opened Id ahve some more work to do. Its better now as I moaned really loudly bout how I couldnt get on to Mumsnet and theyed better do something or Id stop making the tea.
Feel like falling asleep too. Dd is much better according to dp shes had a few hours sleep (lucky cow)and has perked up a bit tho not running round madly as usual. Washing is all done too so I can put my feet up when I get in (ha ha). Funnily enough my dp doesnt do ironing either but he has cut the grass while dd was asleep and got dinner ready.

I like having dp at home looking after dd and the house

Squirrel3 · 13/09/2005 15:59

where did you find your lovely dp's? I am so jealous

My dp does cook a lot of the time but thats it really, come to think of it when we first got together he used to do loads more around the house.... Mmmmmmmmmmmmm where have I gone wrong?

NotActuallyAMum · 13/09/2005 16:04

I ran into mine in a local shop - literally! And I've never looked back

I deserve it tho even if I do say so myself, my ex was a complete tosser and a bully so I'm enjoying every minute of my wonderful DP

Squirrel3 · 13/09/2005 16:09

I deserve a nice dp too!!!!!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 13/09/2005 16:46

Of course you do - everyone does

Perhaps you should go on strike to make him realise how much you do and how much he doesn't do

Or just "forget" to do things, I tried that with my exp and it didn't work for me but I know lots of people it did work for

Failing that, threaten to give him a bobbit snip! Ha ha, only kidding of course - that'd get you into too much trouble

tarantula · 13/09/2005 16:56

lol at bobbit snip. thatd certainly get him up and moving Not necessarily doing anything construtive mind you. Id go for the strike option myself.

(actually am waiting for the day dp comes on here to moan about his lazy partner who expects him to do all the housework and look after dd )

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 09:05

Got me bobbit knife at the ready (all nice and sharp) got the lap-top until Thursday

tarantula · 14/09/2005 09:16

tarantula · 14/09/2005 09:16

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 09:27

NotActuallyAMum · 14/09/2005 09:37

But it's Thursday tomorrow Squirrel!!

You can always hide behind the curtains again

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 09:45

I know but when I told my friend about the suggestion that I should kidnap the lap-top, you should have seen this grown man cry "NO! Not my baby!" he cried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will have to make the most of it and have a couple of bottles of virtual wine and (who knows)if we raise a glass or two to my friend John he may let me borrow it again!

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 09:49

To John

There you go John, you got a mention on Mumsnet!!!

tarantula · 14/09/2005 09:51

Atm I am drinking Earl Grey but would be more than happy to swop for something stronger. Think we need champagne and smoked salmon to celebrate squirrel being with us for today at least. and nice freash soda bread to out the salmon on too. mmmmmmm

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 09:56

NotActuallyAMum · 14/09/2005 09:57

Oooh! Champagne and smoked salmon - that sounds so nice! Puts a bit of a damper on the egg mayonnaise sandwiches I've got for lunch tho!

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 10:42

I've never tried soda bread before, mmmmmmmmmm interesting, goes well with the salmon though tarantula.

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 12:02

tarantula · 14/09/2005 12:03

tarantula · 14/09/2005 12:03

Squirrel3 · 14/09/2005 12:07
