Bloody hell! Hristo Stoichkov is the same age as me!

TheNewGaard · 15/09/2025 22:14

That was great fun! They should do more of these.

Derby day ❤️

Hope I'm smiling come 6.30 😂

Were you smiling then? Not scrolled back far enough to know whether you are a red or a blue.

I was in the away end with my sons. Youngest’s first away match so not a great memory for him!

Have avoided all media speculation except for a couple of reliable podcasts. Managed to avoid city supporting mates. Am getting better at coping with the abject humiliation, which is nice.

I was not smiling either.

Not a great memory for his first away game. But tell him my first ever away game was way back in the late 80s, and we also lost. My family tell me I thought it was the end of the world 😂

Watching Arsenal and it is like watching Arsenal from last season

still bodes well for 3/4 goals past City!

I see Partey isn’t starting probably for the best given the reception he might get

MrsMitford3 · 16/09/2025 19:37

Arsenal's subs a joy!

Martinelli scored 36 seconds after coming on. So so happy for him-he has been so lacking in confidence but I have a soft spot for him and am delighted.

Love Trossard off the bench much more than I do starting.
Now lets see what happens in the final 6 mins of added time... 🙏

Mirror is reporting that Amorim has 3 games to save his job

Who would seriously take the job though? I mean Ten Haag is now losing jobs 3 games in but players are doing ok I mean yes Onana made an error but he was man of the match with a FotMob 8.7 and Hojlund seems to be doing ok so far

bit that does mean a new manager for the Liverpool game!

Well I can’t imagine Roy Keane letting any of the players get away with being too big for their boots

oh sorry, that gave me a right old chortle.
Fully expect Grimsby to win that one.

You called it!

Juventus Dortmund what a match!

Roy Keane's track record as a manager was average, I think he does have difficulty managing people whose outlook is different from his.

I'd still choose him for the enjoyment it would bring, even though I think Mr Amorim should stay.

DuncinToffee · 17/09/2025 10:10

And Mourinho is returning to Benfica

OP posts:
Brefugee · 17/09/2025 11:25

puh. I wanted him to come to Gladbach. All these "super trainers" like him and Guadiola - what is so super about them? they get a billion dollar team of superstars. Real talent would be training a useless team that lose to Grimsby (oh... wait) or Gladbach or something. 😂

Am in all the Gladbach fan forums agitating for Danny Röhl but nobody has heard of him.

Not retiring to Benfica...

Hellohah · 17/09/2025 12:21

Not sure about anyone else but I'm fed up of hearing "he's losing the dressing room".

Appreciate City weren't spectacular at the weekend, but I thought we played alright, particularly in the first half and the 3-0 scoreline was slightly flattering to the other side of Manchester. Not denying overall they deserved their victory.

We don't take our chances. I'm not one for stats, but they do support what I've seen from our PL performances and I don't think the media reaction is appropriate. It wouldn't be the same for anyone else. You live by the sword and all that. I've lived through the good times, I ain't hiding from the bad.

No other manager in football is under as much scrutiny, I said when he arrived I expected 3 years of change at least. Not even 12 months into that, so I'm still very much backing Amorim, not that it means much!

outofdate · 18/09/2025 21:22

@Hellohah I agree. I think there were signs that things were getting better for Utd.

outofdate · 18/09/2025 21:34

Meanwhile Rashford has scored twice for Barça..

I thought he played well for Villa as well and was surprised that they didn't keep him on.

DuncinToffee · 20/09/2025 14:37

Not a bad derby, despite the result.

As for only 3 minutes added time 😂

And booking Dewsbury-Hall for taking the free kick too quick, must be a first 😅

Yep, that was ridiculous. Still, there is one silver lining: at least Arsenal fans can't moan that this kind of thing only ever happens to them 😁
