Back at Gayfield. There are very few people compared to last week. Hopefully get a better result this time though. 🤞 Smokie pies in stock this week at least!

Yep, that was ridiculous. Still, there is one silver lining: at least Arsenal fans can't moan that this kind of thing only ever happens to them 😁

Nah, if it had been Arsenal, he would have been sent off...

Not sure why the message above has been hidden. Unless it's because it has the word "suicide" in it wrt prevention...

Palace are 4th in the Premier League Table!

Oliver Glasner when he first came to Selhurst “I’m not a magician “ - Palace fans 🤔

TheSleepingGiant · 20/09/2025 19:14

Gillingham are back at the top and their unbeaten record has been broken this afternoon. 21 games now 👏

TheSleepingGiant · 20/09/2025 20:03

Just seen a lovely photo of Ainsworth and the team celebrating with the fans. So cute😍

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 20/09/2025 20:44

Iwobi goal and assist for Fulham.

burblish · 20/09/2025 23:19

RIP Matt Beard, former LFC Women manager. 47 is too young. YNWA.

Brefugee · 20/09/2025 23:38

sorry to hear about Matt Beard. So young.

Sorry to do this but: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY, OLÉ! (and of course all the sweeter because United's season is even worse than ours...)

@MNHQ Is there a reason why my post above is still hidden?

He should never have left Wycombe Wanderers. I think in time he could have taken them to be a settled Championship team.

I had one hidden on the women's football thread for months and finally gave up. It was a link to arsenal Netflix documentary talking about sport injuries specific to women etc.
We suspect one of the mods is a Spurs fan 😂

DuncinToffee · 21/09/2025 12:25

It could be to do with the first 4 letters in Arsenal Wink

I would be interested in reading your link @TheNewGaard .

I tried again...

TheNewGaard · 21/09/2025 12:41

It's to do with a service opening and the A*nal Hub at today's match that Roman Kemp was instrumental in setting up.

There's enough words there to find your own link!

Given the fact that two sportsmen have lost their lives to that in the last week (Ricky Hatton and Matt Beard) it is absolutely something that should be highlighted as very important

suspect a bot picked it up though

The rain was torrential at Old Trafford yesterday. Where I sit doesn’t get the worst of it but the rows in front of us were drenched.

Full of admiration for the fanzine sellers stood out in it for 2-3 hours. Wondered how many of you who go to matches buy fanzines or even have access to one?

Hellohah · 21/09/2025 15:18

@ThisCharmingMum didn't help that they decided to increase the security checks through the turnstiles yesterday either. We were pretty early for us, but it took us more than 30 minutes to get to our seats from the forecourt.

The queues have been getting worse lately and yesterday they were worse than ever. Granted we got there slightly later than usual, but the queue took so long that we just about made kick off.

Brefugee · 21/09/2025 16:18

what kind of security checks do you have? I was surprised when i went to Hillsborough that nobody even looked in my bag and no pat-down (and that people take in flasks of tea)

At Gladbach you go through the turnstile, then get a pat-down and a bag check (bags bigger than A4 are not allowed in any german stadium, no glass at all (not even asthma spray or whatever), no hand sanitiser gel (you can set it alight).
