Thanks - sorry you lost but needs must! people are reporting that everyone was lovely pre and post match, coming up and talking to anyone in a Wednesday shirt. also the away fans had a collection for Bradley Lowery's foundation, so a good result all round.

But blimey. i am so relieved.

Ah well we are a friendly bunch up here! Everyone was genuinely delighted to see you stay up, just wish it had maybe been an entertaining high scoring draw and we had some goals to celebrate!

thevegetablesoup · 05/05/2024 08:31

And such a lovely gesture for the Bradley Lowery foundation too ❤️

Reds 2 - 0 Spurs, half-time.

Looks nice and sunny in Liverpool! 🌞

Westfacing · 05/05/2024 17:34

Who knows what the second half will bring!

Oblomov24 · 05/05/2024 21:20

Can't believe how poor spurs were 1st half. 4 defeats on a trot.

DuncinToffee · 06/05/2024 18:57

West Ham have appointed Julien Loptegui to replace David Moyes, couldn't they have waited until the end of the season to announce this, feels disrespectful towards Moyes

David Ornstein

Nottingham Forest unsuccessful in appeal against 4-point deduction for breach of Premier League financial rules. Decision of independent commission stands so #NFFC stay 17th on 29 points (3 above Luton, 5 above Burnley) with 2 games to go

Dortmund! Wow!

Oblomov24 · 07/05/2024 21:55

Agreed. Wow. So many posts hits. Still can't get over / accept how little away fans eg Dortmund is allowed in the stadium.

Brefugee · 08/05/2024 07:23

Blimey, i don't hold anything like a torch for Dortmund (as we say in Gladbach: there is only one true Borussia [we were first]) but that was really exciting.

All i can say about PSG is that if you don't take your chances and put the ball in the net, you don't win. Please crown me coach of the year.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 08/05/2024 09:02

So pleased for Dortmund. They were so hospitable to us last November when we were there for the game. They basically gave over the entirety of Markt Square to us away fans although plenty of home fans came down in full colours and mingled as well. Just a lovely atmosphere in a lovely place with lovely people.

As for PSG. Cheaters never prosper. #neverahandball

it is one thing that never ever ceases to amaze me over here, how much away fans are seen as an absolutely integral part of any matchday. Even on our biggest "risk" matches (against Cologne, for eg) our beergarden at Gladbach (which really is a thing of wonder) is packed with fans, even Cologne ones (normal ones, not ultras) sharing a beer and a sausage and having a laugh at Schalke in the 2nd division on the big screen. all grounds allocate between 5 and 10% of the capacity to away fans - and when (it happens sometimes) away fans are not allowed, the home ultras ALWAYS have something to say about that, usually with a banner or two.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 08/05/2024 09:31

They were great, couldn’t praise them highly enough for their hospitality.

Which I somehow managed to do ever so slightly drunkenly on sky sports news in an interview with Keith Downie 👍🏻😂

Brefugee · 08/05/2024 09:38

do you have a link to a possible clip?

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 08/05/2024 10:27

i have a recording that my dad sent me from the tv but I don’t think you can share video on here - plus v outing obviously. Suffice to say the word hospitable was used probably more than it needed to be really 😂

Brefugee · 08/05/2024 10:54

yeah, sorry, i realised as soon as i posted that it isn't the best idea. :)

Oblomov23 · 08/05/2024 14:23

Ha ha, sometimes I forget the company I'm in here. Eddie is famous, on telly, 'hospitable'. Brefugee is Manager of the decade year. Grin

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 08/05/2024 21:49

But, that was offside, surely?

Oblomov24 · 08/05/2024 21:50

Apparently not!
Can't believe Tuchel took Kane off.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 08/05/2024 21:51

Onside because he was behind the ball when it was played? Not heard of that one before.

Conniethecatapillar · 08/05/2024 21:53

I am beginning to think Kane is cursed!

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 08/05/2024 21:54

Only beginning?

Conniethecatapillar · 08/05/2024 21:55

😅

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 08/05/2024 22:02

Why the long face Harry?

AndNobbyDancing · 08/05/2024 22:09

Oblomov24 · 08/05/2024 21:50

I just can't believe Tuchel's decisions. Glad for Kane that he was off now they have lost. I do feel for him
