So happy today for my beloved Royals who have had a devastating two seasons with 18 points deducted.

DuncinToffee · 27/04/2024 20:30

Yes well done indeed Reading, now get the owner out.

FC Isle of Man were cruising at 3-0 and eventually won 3-2 to secure our place in 9th in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division. Decent progress for the Ravens.

16-year-old Chido Obi-Martin's recent form for Arsenal Under 18s:

⚽⚽⚽⚽ vs. Crystal Palace U18s
⚽⚽⚽⚽ vs. Fulham U18s
âš½ vs. West Brom U18s
⚽⚽ vs. Brighton U18s
⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ vs. West Ham U18s
âš½ vs. Aston Villa U18s
⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ vs. Norwich City

24 goals in 7 games

I get the feeling he should be moving up to the U21s for more of a challenge...

I was also reading recently about Max Dowman who is only 14 and plays with the under 18s.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 27/04/2024 21:13

Well done @DuncinToffee

Andy Bush on Absolute Radio was so happy.

Sheffield United gave us a game first half today (we were shite) and their fans were great craic, sad to see them relegated at SJP today. No laughter from us, we’ve been there. Although there was a cheeky chant of say hello to Sunderland.

13-1 aggregate score line. Biggest in PL history.

thevegetablesoup · 28/04/2024 08:44

Nice of youse to give us a mention @EddieHowesShithousingMags

Could be a Sheffield derby in the championship next season if We'd stay up which is looking likely- Rohl has performed miracles.

We got beat by Watford this weekend, our season has been over for a while and the result was secondary to the chance to honour our player of the century, Charlie Hurley, who died this week. There has been a massive outpouring of love for him which has been incredible to witness and has made me very emotional, as my grandad used to talk about him all the time so whilst I was far too young to see him play, I felt as if I had. Funny thing, football isn't it.

In an incredibly touching and classy gesture Watford put his image on the screen at Vicarage road and there was a minutes applause which the Watford fans joined in with, so if there are any Hornets on here, thank you for that touch of class.

thevegetablesoup · 28/04/2024 08:45

Wed not we'd as in Sheffield Wednesday

Brefugee · 28/04/2024 09:56

TBH i'm sad United are going down because Sheffield as a city really should have at least one PL team (but tbh i don't actually want that for Wednesday for at least a few years)

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 28/04/2024 10:40

The fans were great, obviously it was the result that sealed the deal but I think relegation was pretty nailed on it was just a matter of when but they were so behind the team. When they went ahead the fans were singing ‘how shit must you be, we’re winning away’ which really tickled me 😂

When Matt Richie came on for us, who bizarrely it seems this week passed his LGV test, the whole ground was singing ‘he drives what he wants, he drives what he wants, Matt Richie, he drives what he wants 🤣’

Oblomov24 · 28/04/2024 15:14

Watching Spurs 3-0 down to Arsenal. Makes me so sad. Son been missing in action recently, Maddison poor recently, vicario so weak physically.

Does Ange even have a plan B?

Also had another farcical VAR decision go against you.

Oblomov24 · 28/04/2024 16:52

3-2 I can accept. At least we showed up, tried.

DuncinToffee · 28/04/2024 16:57

Now that I can relax and enjoy the remaining matches, come on Forest! Grin

MN is playing up for me today. I posted the following here and it went onto another thread instead. Weird!

Another humping for Arbroath yesterday and I drowned my sorrows rather too much and I'm feeling very delicate today. 🙈 I've just been flicking between matches today, started with St Mirren v Rangers then second half of Spurs v Arsenal then second half of Dundee v Celtic and I've just turned over to Forest v City.

I was hoping West Ham could sneak all 3 points yesterday but 1 point is better than nothing at least.

TheSleepingGiant · 28/04/2024 17:28

Well that was a better and more even NLD than I expected, although thought overall the result was fair. Really feared the worst after that 1st half but showed real spirit in the 2nd when it would have been easy to fold. Yes we lost and we need to defend set pieces better but you can see how far Ange has bought the team in just one season and he will hopefully keep improving them with time and new additions.

Laughing at the Arsenal fans on the Spurs Facebook page begging Spurs to play the way they played 2nd half when they face City, they must have been begrudgingly impressed today 😂

Brefugee · 28/04/2024 17:35

just back from Glabach vs Union Berlin. Both sets of fans were fab. The teams, not so much. Still at least they didn't lose. But it is definitely looking as though we'll be in the relegation play offs. urgh.

(so here, top 2 go up, bottom 2 go down. 3rd from bottom play 3rd from top in the "relegation" match, 2 legs home and away. Winner either stays up or goes up and the other goes down or stays down)

Will Levy allow him that long though. He seems to only give them a couple of years and that's being generous. Bring back Martin Jol ( my personal favourite 😅)

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 28/04/2024 19:06

Happy St Totteringham's Day to all who celebrate!

That was closer than it should have been. Once Raya made that cock-up it encouraged Sp*rs to fight back harder, and we were holding on at the end.

But Ben White has taken his role as Shithouser-in-Chief to a whole new level!

Ooh that’s a fun way of doing the third spot.

It was a bit slow, but I can't really complain about the penalty.
