@MrsMitford3
I'm the same! Can't stay neutral at all. I always find some reason to pick a team and it makes it much more interesting!
Absolutely fantastic match ( and result) at Old Trafford yesterday.

Tarkan · 18/03/2024 13:21

Oh I felt properly neutral with Wolves v Coventry. I cheered for all the goals and really didn't care who won.

I was rooting for Liverpool yesterday though as I have a few friends who support them. That was a gutting one for them but again a brilliant match.

domineastronomy · 18/03/2024 13:33

What does everyone think about the new England kit? I like the away one- lovely colour.

burblish · 18/03/2024 14:45

It is being reported that Forest have been docked four points for their Premier League profit and sustainability rules breaches.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 18/03/2024 14:53

Classy from both sides apparently...

Not wishing points reduction on Nottingham Forest or any other club but the PL stated "a six point deduction is the minimum... required to achieve the aims of the PSR"

So why 10 for us and 4 for them?

@DuncinToffee - that's just what I was saying to DH about it. I don't get why you got 10 (then reduced to 6) but this is only 4?

We also noticed this weekend that Edinburgh City (in Scottish League One) have had 6 points docked. For not paying wages on time apparently.

burblish · 18/03/2024 15:10

@domineastronomy I really like the away kit too - very different from previous editions. I also appreciated the changes they've made the the cut of the womens shirt (apparently after consulting with players), such as making the chest and waist wider and the armholes bigger (because women are not just small men!).

domineastronomy · 18/03/2024 15:28

@burblish
Absolutely! The shirts will be much more comfortable and look nicer too for women.

Torquay Utd got a 10 point deduction last week for going into administration.

There were some mutterings on a forum last night from a Forest supporter saying they had done a deal to reduce it to 4 and won't appeal. It got laughed off but now people are starting to wonder....

Everton are facing a second points deduction, while Nottingham Forest have been docked just four points.

Makes you wonder how these decisions are made…

By the way, did anyone see that post match interview with Klopp?

If that had been Arteta the media would have been screaming from the rafters, but as it's Saint Jürgen of Scousland...

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 20/03/2024 21:06

Poor old San Marino. 3-1 down to St Kitts & Nevis so far...

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 20/03/2024 21:43

Oh FFS! First Haaland pulls out because of an "injury" before they face Arsenal, and now Neuer has pulled out of the Germany squad before they face Arsenal.

They're terrified of us!

Ooh good! Saka has been pulled out as well!

DuncinToffee · 21/03/2024 17:49

Saka is terrified of Arsenal?

OP posts:
YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 21/03/2024 17:59

No, but if the other teams are going to pull their best players out in order to keep them fresh I'm quite happy for Arteta to do the same. After all, it's more than likely that Saka would have played every minute of every game.

DuncinToffee · 21/03/2024 18:32

Ben White already declined, didn't he?

I always hope none of our players get injured.

OP posts:
YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 21/03/2024 18:37

That was a different issue.

burblish · 21/03/2024 18:53

Oh gosh, now Leicester have been charged by the Premier League for profit and sustainability rules breaches in the last three seasons. What does that mean, though, in terms of sanctions - if they got promoted, would they start the 2024/25 season on negative points? Edited to add: surely any points sanction could only apply when they're actually in the Premier League, not while they're still in the Championship (ie the current season)? If that's not the case, it seems odd that a sanction for breaching Premier League rules could be imposed outside the Premier League itself.

DuncinToffee · 21/03/2024 19:03

PSR is a mess and a disgrace

I'm thoroughly enjoying watching Wales demolish Finland (and listening to the wonderful Welsh fans singing) - an excellent, composed performance. They have every chance of beating Poland in the play off final next Tuesday.
