Agree. No interest to me personally. Sad for others. Do hope those young men are strongly advised to stay off of social media for the foreseeable, though, because I fear it could get ugly.

Italy fan here - delighted!!!! Absolutely nerve wracking evening!!! A brilliant night of sport.

I had to switch the volume off for penalties and go by the roars from the neighbours! I just couldn’t watch!

I found it quite boring to be fair apart from the penalties.

I think because I wasn't invested in either side.

But well done Italy. I suspected as soon as they equalised that they had won.

I’m quite shocked at the riots and assaults by England fans on each other and on the police

I don't think they deserved to win as they cheated quite a lot. Three yellow cards and one which should have been red. If he hadn't pulled the England players shirt we might have got a goal. They won through dirty play.

I actually thought that some of the Italian squad played dirty especially that Giorgio Chiellini when he grabbed Saka's shirt & pulled him down. That was completely out of order & Chiellini should have been sent off not yellow carded. I'm surprised the ref didn't send him off as it was done in plain sight. Mind you even if he'd been sent off it still might have gone to penalties.

Didn't see it but was it blatant cheating like that was? Italy should have been down to 10 men.

I also found the Italian's dirty playing awful, they had 5 players with yellows cads compared to one for England what does that tell you! And that guy who yanked the shirt of Saka, wtaf that's a red card.

They may have won, but they won playing dirty abd on penalties, hard to respect that win.

Non gloating Scot here. Was cheering them on especially those young lads. They did England proud and it was a cruel way to lose.
