As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/any leagues world wide/fallout from the World Cup.)

"Lads, it's Tottnam."

BelfastBloke · 14/01/2019 00:10

Lads, It's Tottnum.

And we've got De Gea.

Well only a couple of saves were really good. The rest were back passes. The volume of them is bit worrying but we knew this.
Still, w/end should have us a couple of points north of Arsenal and with Chelski within sights. Hoping for a draw there.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 16/01/2019 18:44

I can't believe I've only jus found this thread!

  1. Man Utd
  2. Liverpool, Man City
  3. I don't have kids
  4. I'm enjoying this season much more since Mourinho was sacked. It's good to see United playing attacking football again and it's also good to finally have a manager who looks as though he wants to be there.
BitOutOfPractice · 19/01/2019 15:30

Oh my goodness I am a very wrung out wolves fan today. WHAT a match. I'm exhausted!!

BelfastBloke · 19/01/2019 22:25

Listened to the Wolves finale on my way to Arsenal beating Chelsea. Happy days.

Poor Raneri.

WhiteHartLane · 20/01/2019 18:40

Very relieved to get the points but yes i feel for raneri and players not mitrovic although the goalie at the end shouldnt have hoofed the ball so far up the pitch with less than a minute to go lol. If Deles injury is as bad as it looks surely Levy must buy urgently? Llorente has proved he isn't upto the job and never has been

HiHoToffee · 22/01/2019 18:49

Worrying news about Cardiff City's new signing Emiliano Sala whose plane has gone missing over the Channel Islands en route to Cardiff, it is not looking good.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 22/01/2019 19:07

:-( search has been suspended for the night . Doesn't look good.

BitOutOfPractice · 22/01/2019 19:43

No it looks very worrying indeed Sad

BelfastBloke · 23/01/2019 09:30

Carabao Cup and FA Cup games this coming weekend, starting Thursday night and Friday night with Chelsea Spurs and Arse Man U.

Can't stop thinking about poor Sala. The voice note he left his family has been released by the Argentina media....

Oh it's just so tragic.

WhiteHartLane · 23/01/2019 15:11

It is heartbreaking. So sad for everyone involved with Sala and his pilot.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 23/01/2019 18:44

They've said now it's a recovery misson not a rescue. Expected but still so sad. Hopefully they do find it at least.

StarJumpsandaHalf · 24/01/2019 15:36

Guernsey Police have now said the search is called off. Their statement is here twitter.com/GuernseyPolice/status/1088455177361711104

Very sad for the families.

BelfastBloke · 27/01/2019 11:50

At the Arsenal Man United FA cup game on Friday night, the Sala tragedy was announced, and there was sustained applause from the crowd for him, but the players didn't form up at the centre circle and there was no formal start or finish at a whistle.

The Arsenal defensive crisis is now very severe. That's three first-choice defenders we've lost in two games, AFTER Bellerin and Holding are already out for the season.

OP posts:
kalefire · 27/01/2019 11:56

There's still some time left in the transfer window. You think Arsenal are going to get anyone in? They need to be quick if so!
Thing is, there's such a shortage of decent defenders I don't know where they'd look

Yvaine1 · 27/01/2019 15:01

I think we can spare Phil Jones....

WhiteHartLane · 27/01/2019 18:20

And back to hoping for a top 4 finish once again. Waiting til the 2nd half to start playing seems to be a theme Sad

Excellent results for Wimbledon and Newport though.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/01/2019 22:59

Know Everton and Millwall didn't hold a silence or wear black arm bands and today when was at the Chelsea game wasn't one. From sounds of it the family don't want that till its official.

BitOutOfPractice · 30/01/2019 06:04

As a Wolves fan living in Essex amongst a trillion West Ham fans, I cannot tell you how happy beating them so convincingly makes me. Perhaps, just for one day, they’ll shut up about winning the 1966 World Cup! Grin

BelfastBloke · 31/01/2019 15:06

Bournemouth 4-0 Chelsea.

That's cheered me right up!

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 31/01/2019 16:59

There have been some weird results these last few weeks that's for sure!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 02/02/2019 19:05

Spurs crisis so far been far from it...

Glad to see newbie score today. Bourmouth been a boogey team of late so no shock on weds results.

Though course they're losing to Cardiff. They deserve it though.
