As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/any leagues world wide/fallout from the World Cup.)

When Saturday comes!!!

First time in years there is a buzz on the Red side of this city.

OGS and Mike Phelan have it all in front of them. Facing Utd now is quite a different proposion to a few days ago.

Come on you Reds!!!!!!!

BelfastBloke · 23/12/2018 12:57

Ozil was our captain yesterday, and really grew into the game (not that the blokes around me could perceive that). My favourite song at the moment is Alex Iwobi's, to the tune of 'I Like to Move it, Move it", from Madagascar movie.
"Alex Iwobi-wobi,
Alex Iwobi-wobi,
Alex Iwobi-wobi,
Alex I...WOBI!
Duh-duh-duh, duh-duh..........."etc

Good that Citeh lost, and I'm pleased for Yvaine that Man U won.

Spurs gave Everton a hard time today. I didn't expect so many goals, Everton have been tough to beat at home this season but Silva got it wrong today. Credit to Everton fans for cheering Son, what a year he has had.

HiHoToffee · 23/12/2018 21:25

DS is going to disown me but despite the score I quite enjoyed that match. I can see progress and like to think that next year Everton will be playing like Spurs, no fear and deadly on the attack.
Silva didn't get it right today but we were missing Gana in midfield and we do so need a proper striker.

The commentary (especially gary neville) did my head in today, regarding both teams which is quite unusual.

Anyway Up the Toffees!
Merry Christmas

BelfastBloke · 26/12/2018 18:50

Arsenal are currently drawing to Brighton on Boxing Day. We're the late game;

what did everyone else get for their Christmas matches?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 26/12/2018 21:26

I don't see anyone but Liverpool winning it now. Unless they have a breakdown and City or spurs keep going and going.

Phew got there in the end!

HiHoToffee · 27/12/2018 11:40

DS said he wasn't going to watch the match, he lasted less than 2 minutes 😃

Great response from the team, great goals, great result 5-1!

Yerry Mina's first goal was Everton's 7000th in top flight, first English team to do it.

BitOutOfPractice · 29/12/2018 18:15

Very happy Wolves fans here. I'm surprised not to see Spurs fans updating here today

Seriously, all my spurs fans friends have said they "looked tired" and on the highlights I've seen they did. How do the Spurs fans here feel about that?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 29/12/2018 18:31

The Christmas period is slightly crazy. From sounds there was chances just wolves took theirs.

Arsenal having a nightmare at the moment.

WhiteHartLane · 29/12/2018 20:35

@BitOutOfPractice. Well done to Wolves, bossed the second half and deserved the win. Spurs seemed content at 1-0 and after a high tempo 45 minutes they stopped pressing and hardly touched the ball.

On to Cardiff Tuesday and then hopefully we can leave the Tranmere game in Llorentes capable hands Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 29/12/2018 21:40

I think spurs aren’t the first team this season to be caught napping by a very good wolves side (yes I’m looking at you Man City, Arsenal, man United abd chelsea)

What I find a bit annoying is the idea that spurs could only get beaten by wolves because they’re “tired” and that they’ve been “stunned” by the loss. So patronising

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 30/12/2018 14:17

Phew... 1-0 win and a 5 point gap over Arsenal.

HiHoToffee · 30/12/2018 14:29

Everton that, rolls eyes

Enough chances created but none converted, again.

4,500th Top-Flight Game

BelfastBloke · 03/01/2019 15:34

So this Liverpool Man Citeh game is going to be interesting.

Pundits saying Citeh HAVE to win, otherwise the Premiership is over??? I'm not sure that's how it works...

I've just bought in the game on NowTV. Hope it's worth the money.

Surprised at the result. Especially how City have been given their results. See what happens now. Still a while to go yet..

WhiteHartLane · 04/01/2019 21:54

No FA cup shock tonight thankfully. Hoping for some suprises over the weekend, would love Gillingham to beat Cardiff.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 05/01/2019 18:01

You got your wish

WhiteHartLane · 05/01/2019 18:57

I did. Was feeling hopeful when i saw how many changes Warnock had made. Overall the Gills deserved it.

HiHoToffee · 06/01/2019 10:24

Everton made it harder for themselves than was necessary but all credit to Lincoln who made a good game out of it and got a deserved round of applause from both home and away supporters.

I felt sorry for Grimsby but well done Gillingham

BrieMode · 06/01/2019 17:08

Didn’t realise there was a new thread🙈. An Old Firm victory and Jermain Defoe signing, its been a good few weeks for Rangers. The buzz among fans is unbelievable😁

HiHoToffee · 06/01/2019 18:42

Get in Newport!

HiHoToffee · 07/01/2019 21:58

Yay Wolves Smile

Millwall away for the next round, the Tim Cahill derby Grin

WhiteHartLane · 07/01/2019 22:13

Disappointed with Gillingham's draw, Swansea away. Good draw for Spurs though.

Can't stand Millwall so hope Everton score lots!

Well done to Wolves another strong performance.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/01/2019 23:00

Happy Wolves fan just checking in. Nothing more than we deserved and WHAT a goal from Neves.

Happy with our draw too
