They will have quite a journey to make:

Did feel sorry for the Frankfurt fans in with us yesterday. Did get lots of handshakes and that though.. Not that makes up for it. Must been hard in a stand full of happy Chelsea. Then again may ended up other way round...

Dont get who decided this stadium and location was a good idea. Just seems madness

NotMyPuppy · 12/05/2019 15:37

Anyone watching the final games? I have Liverpool and Man City games on split screen!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/05/2019 17:00

Somehow Chelsea finished 3rd! Best of the worst.

HiHoToffee · 12/05/2019 17:15

Watched our match with Everton live commentary and a live forum open. Nobody was really concentrating on the game, it was all focussed on City. Fans in the stadium were cheering their goals, and both Spurs and Everton fans were singing together about Spurs going to win the cup Grin

2-2 was a fair result.

Just watching football focus drooling about Klopp. He never makes excuses? No complaining about the weather then?

Ah well, end of season and I am feeling positive, what a difference a year makes Football

WhiteHartLane · 12/05/2019 17:20

Happy enough with a point against an inform Everton, 4th spot and no new injuries ahead of the CL final.

Good to see the title go all the way to the final day. What is happening with Utd though?!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/05/2019 17:27

Since he signed the contract it's been kiss of death really.

NotMyPuppy · 12/05/2019 17:46

I think talk of firing Solskjaer is premature - give him the summer to clear out the players he says are causing the problem with their attitude and rebuild. The problems run deeper than him and during his short stay there have been some improvements.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 18/05/2019 11:12

Shock horror both Arsenal and Chelsea failing to sell their share of tickets. No surprise when one guy even said the cost to go and ticket is the same amount as his season ticket.

Happy for Frank and Derby. Hopefully can go all the way

HiHoToffee · 19/05/2019 20:25

Arsenal and Chelsea's charter flight is £979 apparently...

Well done to City for winning the treble.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 29/05/2019 21:54

Didn't see that result coming! Woohoo

WhiteHartLane · 29/05/2019 22:55

Congratulations Chelsea. I must admit before k.o and after the first half I thought Arsenal would edge it. Impressive second half display by Chelsea though and a decent first season for Sarri really. Do you think he will be Manager going into next season? Would you like him to be?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 30/05/2019 21:58

Yep same! Especially given how we've fallen apart after half time so many times. Finally we came out a better side! Maybe cause it was a new day over there..

Im torn. He hasn't really impressed me this season with so many interesting moments. However last part of season managed to pull it together. Didn't expect 3rd place and a Europa trophy when we were losing with awful performances.
I think he deserves another season just a shame it may come with a transfer ban. Plus so many rumours floating linking him elsewhere just have to see I guess.
Knew it was coming but to hear Hazard say pretty much good bye. Sad times

Oblomov19 · 31/05/2019 17:03

Chelsea did well. Hazard leaving? How will they bring in players in if they've got a transfer ban? Plus, how can they Sell him if they've got a transfer ban? or is it only transfers in not allowed? you are allowed to transfer out ? how does that work?

Dropped Dh at Heathrow this morning. He has a cheap direct flight to Madrid. And a hotel, but a few km out. And he has a CL ticket. He has a new Spurs shirt and a flag and he's very excited. He was offered £10k cash for his ticket at the airport Shock but he refused! Shock

HiHoToffee · 01/06/2019 11:31

Well done Chelsea, those poor Arsenal fans

Hope tonight's match is going to be good, at least there will be a proper atmosphere. And for one night only ; COYS!

Looking forward to the Womens World Cup.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 01/06/2019 22:43

Oblomov19 apparently we can still sign under 18s..which is what the ban is to do with so makes little sense.

We can sell out just not bring in. Unless the appeal works and a window is frozsn which for Barcalona, Real Madrid etc it did. This time doesn't look likely though

Be a long season but in a way. Chance for players to prove themselves and with so many on loan.

Shame Spurs didn't turn up really. Seemed the better side.
After the amazing semi finals bit of a meh game.

Oblomov19 · 01/06/2019 23:33

Thanks LetsGo.

I thought the final was quite boring, tame. As a game. Shame.

WhiteHartLane · 02/06/2019 08:24

The final didn't live up to the hype. Pressure of the occassion maybe.
Disappointing end to an exciting CL journey for Spurs but I am hopeful for next season. Few players out and hopefully some decent players to come in (you never know with Levy though)!

Nations League starts again in a few days.

HiHoToffee · 02/06/2019 12:25

It was a poor game, in the end Liverpool were just more clinical than Spurs.

Ah well, bring on the Nations League and the Women's World Cup

HiHoToffee · 06/06/2019 16:50

Netherlands vs England tonight, will there be any weird VAR decisions like yesterday?

1happyhippie · 06/06/2019 17:11

Hi, sorry, I completely forgot about this thread!
It was a decent season in the end for us (Chelsea). Interesting to see if sarri is still in charge come August? I doubt it really.
It is a shame because in the end we done much better than we all thought! Sarri does seem to make strange decisions, but in the end it worked out. I think he deserves another season, but it’s chelsea and we seem to like to get rid of managers for fun!
I will be watching the England match tonight, even though it’s an odd tournament, but it’s always good to see how far we can go.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 07/06/2019 07:21

What on earth was that extra time performance about?! Woops

Oh well.. Same old England

HiHoToffee · 07/06/2019 07:39

I remember that Stones from Everton, glad we have Keane now.
Southgate is making the same mistake, selecting players who are no regular starters for their clubs. Start loooking at clubs other than the sky darlings.

But being Dutch, I am happy Grin

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 09/06/2019 15:47

VAR VAR VAR VAR... Right decision but still.

HiHoToffee · 09/06/2019 16:15

VAR prolonged our misery of watching this shite. I knew I should have stuck with the World Cup
