Squealing with excitement. My blood pressure is sky high

honeysucklejasmine · 26/09/2015 23:26

Well that was a very enjoyable game. Bit worried about who we have left to field for the rest of the tournament though!

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 26/09/2015 23:39

We only went and bloody won!!!

Shutthatdoor · 26/09/2015 23:46

Good game.

Seen a great quote tonight on twitter ..

England are 5 hard games away from lifting the world cup. The same message would apply if they had beaten Wales.

Injury problems I think are going to be a big factor for a few teams going forward.

confusedandemployed · 26/09/2015 23:59

Oh my good God. What an incredible game!! I am deliriously happy.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 27/09/2015 00:48

It wasn't that great a game in terms of actual rugby IMO. But in passion, it was unbeatable.

theredjellybean · 27/09/2015 15:24

i couldnt post last night...too exhausted from being an english supporter...bloody hell...really england ??? talk about snatching defeat from jaws of victory....DD and DF cock a hoop...teddy ( donned englsih kit last night ) and me sobbing quietly....only consolation is wales didnt get bonus point.
oh and australia my second team romping home against uraguay .

roll on australia vs wales....hoping for some kind of recompence for the english

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 27/09/2015 17:32

England will beat Australia. Count on it.

Shutthatdoor · 27/09/2015 17:59

England will beat Australia. Count on it.

After watching Australia today although not their best team I am more optimistic than yesterday.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 27/09/2015 18:26

England are a good team. Top 5 or 4 in the world. They will beat Oz because they know they have to.
The match against Wales could have gone either way in the last 10 mins. Wales won, but only by one score.
Robshaw made what would have been a fantastic call to go for a try in the last couple of mins. If it had come off he would have been today's hero. I get cross with people who say it was a bad decision. A draw would have been such an anticlimax.

*Disclaimer - I say all this from the comfort of being a very smug Welsh Woman

MajesticWhine · 27/09/2015 21:19

The decision to go for a lineout instead of a penalty was an emotional one possibly arrogant. But I don't really blame them for it. As you say if it had come off Robshaw would be lauded as a hero. And we could have missed the kick - it was a tough kick. I think england are a decent team so they have a chance to go through still. But if not I will be happy to cheer for Wales.

vvviola · 11/10/2015 19:19

It's all gone a bit quiet on this thread....

My nerves are shot after the Ireland - France game. I think we might have to go recruiting at the local rugby clubs if we lose any more players to injury....

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2015 19:34

Mine too vvviola, what a match though. Glad Ireland have managed to avoid the All Blacks, but gutted about the injuries. Sad to think this was probably Paul O'Connell's last match in an Ireland jersey.

Howaboutthisone · 17/10/2015 21:30

Can't believe I've just found this! Anyone about? In a very disappointed Welsh woman. We gave so much! Too many opportunities missed. And still playing Cuthbert- not good!
New Zealand have stepped things up for this game haven't they?! Amazing!
I'd love to see Ireland or Scotland get through tomorrow for some northern hemisphere representation! Not sure if it'll happen though.

TheSkiingGardener · 17/10/2015 21:41

Wow, NZ are embarrassing France. That must be some kind of record surely.

We were at the Wales game. I was so sure they were going to make it. Massive disappointment when SA got that try.

Howaboutthisone · 17/10/2015 21:43

It was hard enough to see on TV- might've cried if I'd been there!

TheSkiingGardener · 17/10/2015 21:54

Some grown men around us did!

Howaboutthisone · 18/10/2015 13:17

Well it's been a good start for Argentina. Amazing finish on that second try
Let's hope Ireland can fight back.
Poor Tommy Bowe- this doesn't look good.

vvviola · 18/10/2015 14:51

Sod it anyway Sad

Would have liked to have seen our full strength team in this game...

Howaboutthisone · 18/10/2015 18:55

As a Welsh woman I can totally understand where you're coming from on that one.
So frustrating for all of us Celts this weekend.

GrouchyKiwi · 31/10/2015 15:59

Anyone here for the final?

Go the All Blacks!

Eastpoint · 31/10/2015 16:16

Watching too - only member of my household.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 31/10/2015 16:19

Yes I'm watching and supporting the All Blacks as they're the only other country who take rugby seriously enough :) Still good to see Nigel representing Wales :)

Igneococcus · 31/10/2015 16:46

I'm watching, dp and the dc are kiwis but I'm the only one watching properly at the moment.

vvviola · 31/10/2015 16:56

Ooh yes. All watching here. DH is about ready to hide behind the couch with nerves. Great softie Kiwi.
