Scotland has that for next game.

I'm very pleased for Scotland. We've been pish for so long, it's nice to be scoring tires. Hope we can keep it up.

vvviola · 23/09/2015 16:52

Doh! I was avoiding news websites & Twitter to try to avoid the score. And MN tells me what happened.... Sad

serves me right for logging on at work

Moln · 23/09/2015 16:57

D'oh!!

It's very hard to avoid results in this day and age isn't it. Blooming technology not like the good old 'look away now' days!!!

You don't know the result though or even the margin!!'

I may possibly too be in work and followed the match on the app

DramaAlpaca · 23/09/2015 20:20

DH came home & started talking about the day's results. He thought I'd have heard. I hadn't. We are watching France v Romania now.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 23/09/2015 20:39

Just got home from watching Scotland v Japan (DH Scottish). Bloody marvelous game. Closer than the score shows really, particularly in the first half.

And on another note - I bloody love a Scot in a kilt and Gloucester was heaving with them today. My face was like this >Grin all day

Stickerrocks · 23/09/2015 22:16

That must be a special Double Gloucester Cheesy Grin then. All of the second tier teams have put up a presentable show so far. I'm glad they're not losing 100-0.

GrouchyKiwi · 24/09/2015 22:03

What is with Romain Poite and World Cups? I usually like him during the 6 Nations. Can't believe how much time he wasted.

Great performance from Namibia. Cheered so loudly when they got a try!

I was very pleased that Nehe had a good match. Quieter from the ABs than expected, perhaps.

vvviola · 24/09/2015 22:33

That was a pretty dull match really, wasn't it? I mean Milner-Scudder's tries were nice, and so was Barrett's, but the 2nd half was dreadful.

I think the entire stadium cheered when Namibia got that try - Kiwis included Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 25/09/2015 08:20

The refs are so afraid of getting things wrong they're checking every little thing. And personally, I think the TMO should only do what they're asked instead of taking it upon themselves to look further back.

vvviola · 25/09/2015 08:25

DH said he had heard that no-one yet knows who is going to referee the final - and that this might explain the refs being so afraid to make a mistake.

There was one stage last night when the touch judge was literally beside the player who scored the try, but the ref didn't even seem to ask him at all, straight up to the TMO.

I have to say, when the TMO is used right, it's great, but the way it's being used at the moment is enough to discourage other sports from taking it on.

(I did like the moment last night where to TMO broke in to tell the ref to have a chat with one of the Namibian players: "I can't do anything about IT now but you need to have a little chat with him". Made them sound like naughty schoolboysGrin)

I've been awake since 5am and I've got nearly 14 hours more of this tension!

The England V Wales fixture is always nerve wracking, but this one takes it to a whole new level.

GrouchyKiwi · 26/09/2015 10:32

Can anyone explain what the Guscott means by "route one DNA"? Confused

BBC guff from Jeremy Guscott

confusedandemployed · 26/09/2015 17:30

Grouchy I just read that article and it makes no sense to me either. I suppose it's a reference to the fact that Barritt and Burgess are not play makers, they play the traditional first choice English style. But I could be barking up completely the wrong tree there.

MajesticWhine · 26/09/2015 18:45

I think it means england will be going for power and brute force rather than creativity. Get the forwards to win territory and pick up points like that rather than run and pass. It's a pity if that's the case. But if england can win I don't mind how they do it.

cadnowyllt · 26/09/2015 19:00

Same thing with Wales, all they need to do is win, the way it's done is in the hands of the gods

GrouchyKiwi · 26/09/2015 19:34

Ah, I see. Thank you. I hope both sides can be more interesting than that.

Mostly, though, I hope the referee is hardly noticeable.

cadnowyllt · 26/09/2015 19:43

I want entertaining too - I hope we all do. Here's to a Game !

Stickerrocks · 26/09/2015 20:26

Love the fact that Marler can get mushed by Jamie Roberts & Mike Brown can get angry, but they'll be team mates in a few weeks.

MajesticWhine · 26/09/2015 20:29

Mike Brown looks like a guy that gets angry quite easily.

Stickerrocks · 26/09/2015 20:54

Perhaps it's his pheromones! He gets very focused.

GrouchyKiwi · 26/09/2015 20:59

I love when there are fights in rugby.

Stickerrocks · 26/09/2015 21:02

We met Maggie Alphonsi on Thursday evening. She spent 5 minutes chatting to me & DD at the Legends game. I expected her to be much taller, but she was tiny. Fantastic role model for teenage girls.

Ha. Yes that'd have been funny, he should have pointed at the big screen then waved at it and not at the camera

Stickerrocks · 26/09/2015 21:48

I missed the royals. Are they splitting their loyalty with Harry cheering England & William Wales?
