trying to book - tickets have got through to the requesting stage but time waiting varies between 7 mins then goes back to at least 15 ...I am wasting my energies are there any likelihoods of getting tickets????

OMG I now have tickets in my 'basket', but when I click on Request, nothing happens. Nothing at all . WTF?

I hate this website.

I had that a couple of times on my phone Ephiny. It didn't start working again until I'd logged out and back in again (by which time of course I'd completely missed anything that was available).

Folks, if you do get through to basket on anything, please check it before hitting submit - a couple of people on twitter are saying they selected cheaper seats but these had turned into expensive seats when the basket came up!

ive been trying even harder to get tickets in the last few weeks (if thats even possible!) but i havent had much luck... :(
Does anyone know of someone that has tickets for beach volley tonight that wants to sell?? i'd pay anythign to be there...

Thanks Angel - I'm going to keep trying, but not come across any swimming ones yet. Once again today, there's only tickets to go round / up Orbit, and you need (unavailable) Olympic Park Tickets to be able to do that.
I'm just hoping that once this week is over, things will calm down and we might still get some.

That happened to me too Ephiny. Stupid, stupid website.

Well at the 10k swim just now, I'd say that excepting the start/finish there was a better view around the lake than there would have been from the ticketed stands - we were much closer to the swimmers as they came by (Jessica Roux looked up right at me on her final length before she dropped out)! Fab party/picnic atmosphere in the park as well.

Gutted for poor Keri-Anne missing out on a medal, but it was amazing to be there. Who needs tickets when you can see that for free?

Eek! I must tell you what just happened

4 different tickets prices came up for the closing ceremony a short while ago so I requested 2 @ £150. After thinking about it for 3 minutes it came back with the pay screen! I was absolutely screaming with delight and telling my family when I checked the screen again and it had changed my order to 2 £1,500 tickets, total price to pay = £3,000!!!! I immediately thought I had entered the wrong amount but when I returned to the previous screen my shopping basket was showing 2 @£150. So a glitch? a scam to make you pay more? So glad I noticed before I hit the pay button!

That's awful Lee! Stupid website gets worse and worse.

Got home 15 mins later than usual, logged straight on to find drop had already happened . Please can someone tell me it happened about 4.45 so I don't torture myself with 'if only I'd driven faster' please....

I have spent so much time today searching for diving tickets. Got to the point of tickets in the basket, credit card at the ready and then "No tickets available". aaaaaarrrgghhhh!!

To add to the hassle, the kids want feeding!! How inconvenient!!

After a week of trying and failing, I finally managed to get tickets for the elusive Rhythmic Gymnastics. The final as well. My girls are going to be so chuffed when they find out .

I have been on this bloody website for several hours a day, every day for the past week mind!

I spent hours on the website 2 weeks ago looking for athletics tickets and got two for today's evening session @£150 each. It was worth every moment I spent pressing refresh - saw the 800m world record being broken and Usain Bolt winning the 200m!

Just spent better part of 2 days trying to get paraolympics tickets only to see some u today and I missed them all

Southwest - I have just joined twitter for this very reason - they check every 3 seconds for tickets and alert you. If you have a smart phone I'd advise you join twitter on your phone as you are more likely to have it near you than your computer. They have been alerting me all the time since I joined last night - sometimes it might only be for a couple of tickets that have been returned so you have to be fast onto the computer. Then you need to go to settings on your phone and you can select which twitter accounts you want alerts from - note that they have 2 accounts for olympics and 1 account for paralympics.

This was posted in the last five mins on BBC website:

"More tickets to the closing ceremony may be released after Saturday night, once the set has been moved into the stadium when athletics finishes, according to Locog.

"They will be released once organisers have checked sight lines from seats when the transformation is complete. But there will be no discounts on remaining top-price tickets, Locog's communications director Jackie Brock-Doyle says."

If you do manage to get one there is a massive downside. You'll have to endure Coldplay and the Spice Girls.
