Dd verucca

Dd 10 has had a massive verruca under her big toe for over 3 years. GP said it would go of its own accord... it hasn't gone.
A few weeks ago she said it was hurting when she walked so I have decided to wage war on it.
So far we have tried soaking, filing and covering with a plaster, then soaking, filing and covering with duct tape for more than a fortnight but it made no difference.
Next weapon... Bazuka.
After 3 days, it look absolutely hideous....

Bazuka didn't work for the one my DD had. The thing that completely got rid of it within a week was neat Tea Tree Oil.

My DD has a verruca on her toe. I am only allowed a quick glimpse of it 🙄 She won't let me put ANYTHING on it!

Soak some cotton wool in apple cider vinegar, just enough to cover the verruca. Put it on once she's in bed for the night, and cover it with duct tape. It has to be duct tape as it's waterproof, so the cotton wool will stay moist overnight. Repeat this for a few nights and the verruca will blacken and eventually disappear. This is the only thing that worked for us.

More skin has flaked off around it. Seems to be more very thin vessels springing up. Have put bazuka on tonight as it isn't sore now. Will see if I can get a pic.

I think it's looking neater. Hope it's not too painful.
Here is my DS verruca. We use the scholl pen. If anything the brown bits seem to be enlarging/ multiplying. Not sure if pen is doing any good. It is sometimes very painful that he hobbles.

I have had a Google and I think the white bit surrounding them is an encouraging sign!!
@AmongUs do you have to file it when you do the pen?

I would say the white bit around it is dead skin. You would be able to cut a lot of that off, get a load of scalpels from eBay and just scrape or slice bits off. Will relieve some of the pressure that might be causing pain. My podiatrist used to scrape away loads from mine each time he saw me to do the swift treatment and it really helped.

My DS had 6 on his feet. It took over a month of Bazuka but it worked in the end. Great job, keep going!

I had this monster which was acquired doing aqua natal classes in 1994. lt clearly wasn't planning on going of it's own accord!
I found a product called verrugon which is stronger than most other OTC salicylic acid products and it included a very good little kit. It took a hell of a long time to go, you have to keep on digging away and not give it the opportunity to grow back. I'd dig it out a bit with the point of some nail scissors and use a scholl foot sander thing to grind it down. It's completely gone now and I'm so looking forward to getting a pedicure which I've not been able to have for so many years!

I had treatment from a podiatrist and she said to never file a verruca as it will result in more pain. The treatment you are using is killing off the skin around the verruca as well as the verruca itself which looks like mine did. I was told to let this come away by itself and then at our appts she used a scalpel to take the top layer off for me. If you keep going and it is not deep set that dead layer will come loose then you keep treating... if it won't budge I can def recommend seeing a podiatrist as they have stronger treatments.
