Right this monster is on my back, I'm thinking its a massive blackhead?
It's got a hole in the middle and dp has given it a good squeeze (which is why it's red) after a soak in the bath but nothing.
Any ideas how to get rid of it?
Preferably tonightGrin

Sorry I'm back right my mum has-
Kirby gripped-hard
Tweezered
Dug around with a needle
Squeezed like mad

Nothing has worked. She said it was really deep. What do I do now?
Would the practice nurse maybe be able to get it out?
Or do I have to live with my new friend (and my red back!)

What the hell is this?

Place marking.

How the hell your DH could walk away from that, I'll never know. Some people...

P.S please film it or at least take photos. Thanks :)

joolspoon · 31/07/2017 20:40

I would get a hot wet cotton wool on it.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 31/07/2017 20:45

Sometimes you need to leave them to loosen up a bit. Try rubbing a little olive oil onto it and then try agsin in a day or two. I got a MAGNIFICENT one out of an ex's back, just by being patient.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/07/2017 20:47

Hot flannel compress, hot as you can stand. Then a sterilised needle. DO NOT LET YOUR MUM LEAVE UNTIL SHE HAS COMPLETED THE MISSION!

iMatter · 31/07/2017 20:50

Lock your door.

Your mum has to stay until it's done.

ophiotaurus · 31/07/2017 20:51

You need to scrape the skin that has grown over it off then it will come out (speaking from experience on dh's back!).

AndHoldTheBun · 31/07/2017 20:52

I remember my father using a steam bottle on what I suspect was one of these on my mothers back... I was about ten and it may have scared me for life Shock

A glass fizzy drink bottle (a big one) was held over a steaming kettle, filled with steam and then the neck of the bottle (check it's not too hot first) pressed over the spot. The hot air in the bottle contracted and a few seconds later there was a scream from my mother as the spot was sucked upwards and exploded into the bottle!

Just an idea - obviously it needs to be a glass bottle, a plastic one would collapse, leaving the spot intact.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/07/2017 20:52

Yes yes! Sterilise a needle!

ShatnersBassoon · 31/07/2017 20:53

It's going to need a bit of excavation, that's all.

Bite down on a wooden spoon and get your mum to go at it again. DH can mop her brow and take photos.

ShatnersBassoon · 31/07/2017 20:54

Oh god, I'd love to see a glass bottle vacuum extraction actually. Try that.

MaMisled · 31/07/2017 20:55

Just commenting so this is easier to find tomorrow! Soooooo exciting! !!!

bananafanana1 · 31/07/2017 20:57

I HAVE to know what happens.

I vote patience OP. Give it a day or two. Grin

shamoffour · 31/07/2017 21:00

Can you still by glass pop bottles?
What could I use instead? I may have a trip to the supermarket tomorrow to find something I just suggested this to dp and he's now googling!
Unfortunately mother had left the building admitting defeat.
I'm going to put olive oil on tonight and try tomorrow possibly with a bottle.

AndHoldTheBun · 31/07/2017 21:06

Yes, fancy lemonade and pop often come in a glass bottle- a wine bottle would do, but make sure it's a clear one or you won't be able to see the result!

shamoffour · 31/07/2017 21:08

Duh of course a wine bottle!
I think my mum might be better than dp.
