Wear your sunglasses and sun hat, “Prevention is better than cure”
cannot decide which product I’d chose, I need to try everything!

Best tip from my hairdresser for freshening up hair using dry shampoo is to spray it around the roots, leave for a minute and then blast it with the hairdryer to get rid of the excess. Works much better than brushing it through. I would love the Pure Touch Micro-fine Loose Powder if lucky enough to win.

Britanniaa · 20/03/2025 12:13

An olive oil hair mask overnight - left my dry frizzy hair in great condition for 2 weeks. Wear hair grips on the showercap to keep it in place. I've heard rosemary oil has great benefit too, but not tried that one yet.

Drink water. A full glass several times a day. And don’t smoke. Not that I ever did, but I’ve heard and read that and it’s really true; the (few) women I know still daft enough to smoke have far less healthy looking faces. Oh and pluck any stray eyebrows so they just have a gently arched shape. Not too much, and definitely don’t go for the artificial caterpillars crawling across your face look, but just tidy them up. This made a massive difference to me, having more definition of the gentle arch in my eyebrows seems to lift my whole face

Sliced cucumbers on your eyelids when you've got dry eyes. It's just the best.

Ilostmyhalo · 21/03/2025 12:29

For brighter skin - Yogurt and Turmeric Mask: Mix plain yogurt with a pinch of turmeric powder and apply to the face, avoiding the eyes.

DanBenandBud · 21/03/2025 13:17

Use liquid eyeliner, it's so much finer to define your eyes, and makes the best flicks easier.

To refresh my curls which tend to flatten overnight, I scrunch them in the shower with a bit of conditioner and it brings them back to life.

I'd like to try the Farewell cream concealer, I'm always on the hunt for a good one!

Best beauty tip (apart from drink water and always use SPF) is that you don’t always need foundation. So many good alternative products available these days, which is great. As someone who has very fair cool toned skin, I spent too many years with a full face of foundation.

i’d like to try the Wake Up Radiant Eye Prorector - I’m always on the search for a holy grail eye product!

Saphire123 · 23/03/2025 01:38

For an instant face lift....smile.😀

DrummingMousWife · 23/03/2025 06:58

Using a little Vaseline on a cotton bud you should shape your eyebrows before bedtime. It trains them to sit flat and stay in shape, it also conditions the eye brow hairs.

aLittleWhiteHorse · 23/03/2025 16:13

Best skin and make up tip: always use SPF and drink lots of water for hydration.

Computers and phones reflect lots of dehydrating light onto facial skin.

Bring foundation colour into the neck to avoid a line.

Never go to bed without removing all make up with a double cleanse.

if I were to win I’d probably buy the best selling products kit which is on sale currently so under £50!

Lots of vitamin C and drinks of water for a better complexion

I love these eyeliners https://delilahcosmetics.com/collections/eyeliner/products/eye-line-long-wear-retractable-pencil but as I get older my eyes are more hooded and my make up can smudge. I was advised to set the eye make up with loose powder and now it stays perfect all day.

Hello!! An update from me. Thanks for sending me a £50 gift voucher @MaddyMumsnet . I sent off for this https://delilahcosmetics.com/products/smokey-eye-with-jezebel

The whole set is gorgeous. It’s now almost 2pm and the colour is still there, as strong as in the morning, and hurray ( @CeeceeBloomingdale !) the eyeliner hasn’t smudged a bit. I know Smokey eyes are usually about smudging but I really don’t like random eyeliner smudge since it just makes me look like I haven’t slept. Plus, i’m using the eye shadows and eyeliner in the day as a subtle application and nothing more! The box also comes with a gentle applicator brush.

Brilliant, thank you mumsnet and Delilah!

Learn how to contour - and blend with the correct brushes, i don't use a lot, but knowing where to have darker and lighter shades and blending is the great base to your make up, always use a setting spray.

Gorondola · 24/03/2025 22:28

Exfoliate regularly

So glad to hear you're loving the set @Elspet ! 💕 That’s amazing that the colour is lasting so well, and no smudging is always a win! The subtle daytime look sounds gorgeous, I want to recreate it myself. Thanks for sharing your experience, and enjoy your new Delilah goodies! 😊✨

Use up all your old pots of moisturiser on your legs and feet instead of just throwing them out.
Snip the ends off plastic tubes of cosmetics - there is loads left in them!
Moisturiser gentle enough for your neck is going to be ideal for your eye area too.
Use a baby toothbrush as a cleansing brush around the nose area
