Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Batteries, coffee

Cismyfatarse · 15/02/2022 08:24

Things for my OWN packed lunch. Everyone else gets their favourites: fish for pescatarian DD; spicy stuff and chilli for DH; DS gets his weird cheeses and olive oil.

But I always forget the tubs of soup or pots of salad I want for work, leading to a mad lunch time dash so I can get back to my classroom in time.

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 15/02/2022 09:17

I don't tend to forget the regular stuff. It's the occasional buys that I really don't like to be without I'll forget - like laundry powder, sesame oil, bin bags or peanut butter.

kagerou · 15/02/2022 09:57

Batteries
Good quality cat food (easy to find the cheap yucky stuff at the news agent but I'd rather feed them human food than that!)
new note books

cocktailclub · 15/02/2022 10:07

Bin bags, matches, peppercorns, stock cubes, cooking salt and dishwasher salt

suoixna · 15/02/2022 10:20

Eggs! Because they’re always hard to find. Also basic but not frequent purchases like kitchen roll, batteries, foil, baking paper, toilet roll, bin liners, baking powder

OlympicOwl · 15/02/2022 10:25

Pitta bread and wraps. Sometimes I remember as I'm getting the dips or fillings to go with them and have to make a detour back round the supermarket.

Hogwarts4Christmas · 15/02/2022 10:34

Kitchen paper towels
Dishwasher salt
Teabags
Bin bags

For me it's things I don't buy weekly meaning I don't go down those aisles on a weekly basis, which leads to me forgetting about them as I don't go past the aisle they're on.

Drives me bonkers.

llynnnn · 15/02/2022 10:50

bin liners and toothpaste!
At the moment we really need dishwasher salt but I keep forgetting it!

MojoJojo71 · 15/02/2022 11:00

@OldTinHat I used to be the same but then I bought a rechargeable candle lighter on Amazon so no more forgetting matches

OldTinHat · 15/02/2022 11:06

@MojoJojo71 OMG is there such a thing?!! My life is about to change...*heads off to Amazon waving pompoms and wearing a 'I ❤ Mojo' tshirt...

XinyiGuo · 15/02/2022 11:26

I could forget anything besides food.
That's why I keep a shopping list on my phone so I can update it all the time. It's really helpful.

Toothpaste is one item I've forgotten - but it's amazing how much you can squeeze out when you curl it up and the end and roll - then open the tube and get out the remainder.
