Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Most recently? Cereal.

I did remember the milk though so we had more milk than would fit in the fridge door but no cereal.

Obviously, I had gone to buy cereal ....

Toofuckingearly · 14/02/2022 22:50

Salt and sandwich bags

TyrannosaurusRights · 14/02/2022 22:52

@Itchylegs

Eggs, for some reason I rarely see them in the supermarket and usually have to remember to seek them out.
It’s part of the supermarket design to essentially hide the eggs so you have to walk around looking for them, passing other items as you go. It’s not you. It’s clever marketing design.

I've been meaning to buy a cheap plastic whistle from the toy section( for dog walks )for about eight months now.

Enough4me · 14/02/2022 23:10

Dishwasher rinse aid at the same time as washing up liquid, just guarantees all my dishes look dull for a week.

GalaxyStars · 14/02/2022 23:11

I always forget cling film, kitchen roll and surface cleaner (method or similar). I always remember chocolate Grin

kenzi21 · 14/02/2022 23:13

Bog roll, milk & pads😂

ItWasPeculiarButBearable · 14/02/2022 23:21

You know that chocolate sauce for ice cream that sets when you put it on? Crackin? Crackling? Whatever it is, we’ve been without it for a month and it’s driving me daft because it’s (sadly) my real guilty pleasure among my current healthy eating plan!

Hopezibah · 14/02/2022 23:23

Always seem to forget deodorant! Not got when you've got a house full of teens. Also often forget things like salami that my son loves but being veggie myself, it isn't top of mind so I'm never very popular with him when I've forgotten to get him all his fave sandwich fillings.

APineForestInWinter · 14/02/2022 23:57

Minor ingredients that rarely need replaced, like herbs and spices.

Cooking oil.
Cleaning products

Beurre · 15/02/2022 00:34

Keep forgetting to buy nappy bags. I somehow always forget to include it on my shopping list yet manage to come back with a full bag of snacks that weren't even on the list!

TooMuchToblerone · 15/02/2022 00:36

Toothpaste usually. Never forgotten loo rolls - I grew up in a house where we often had squares of cut up kitchen paper towel Grin

Cereal, always. We go through a ridiculous amount of it and I am guilty of thinking "I'm sure we have some, it's fine". It is usually NOT fine.
