Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Blackcurrant squash - particularly when it's a hot day - and the little darlings drink all of the milk because they are thirsty.
Stock cubes when you want to make cottage pie - and yes onions when making the same.

Always forget bin bag!

jacqui5366 · 15/02/2022 13:01

Washing up liquid, bin liners, coffee and gin.

sashh · 15/02/2022 13:05

Washing powder.

My carer does my washing so I never notice if I need some and I forget he has reminded me.

pushchairprincess · 15/02/2022 13:09

Balsamic vinegar - that ONE ingredient that you are missing for your recipe you've planned

Floydthebarber · 15/02/2022 13:45

Kitchen roll. Always go to reach for it then realise it has ran out and only then do I appreciate how useful it is and that we should never run out!

Gingerkittykat · 15/02/2022 13:46

The stuff I don't buy regularly.

Toilet roll since I buy in bulk so don't need it very often.
Bin bags.
Washing up liquid.
Spices.

WilmaJean · 15/02/2022 14:04

Tissues!

Dizzywizz · 15/02/2022 14:17

Eggs…I don’t know why, it should be a routine but for some reason I always forget them

MargosKaftan · 15/02/2022 14:32

I always forget non-food items like shampoo / sanpro.

SeedsSeedsSeeds · 15/02/2022 14:43

Tissues! They seem in short supply at the moment, so get missed from my weekly delivery, but I never remember when doing a top up shop either.

FuggyPidding · 15/02/2022 14:46

Bleach, tissues, cooking oil, herbs - things I don't tend to buy weekly / need daily so when it comes round to needing them, it's easy to forget!

hannahbjm · 15/02/2022 15:04

Mine is always any kind of sauce like ketchup or mayonnaise!

beachcitygirl · 15/02/2022 15:35

Bin bags every single time 🤦🏻‍♀️

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/02/2022 15:58

Clingfilm, toilet roll, cheese, pretty much anything I went in there for.

FarFarAwayLand137 · 15/02/2022 16:08

Raisins! My DS has the little packs in his lunchbox and I always forget and end up doing a late night trip to the garage for a bag of them and decanting them myself into the cardboard boxes!

KittenKong · 15/02/2022 16:15

I may run out of milk on occasion - but why did I find 6 large tubs of raisins in the back of my cupboard recently? I don’t even eat them.

Dyra · 15/02/2022 16:29

Last big shop I forgot: Bread, tissues, and lasagne sheets.

Top up shop I forgot the lasagne sheets again....

FebruaryRainandSleet · 15/02/2022 16:33

Wet cat food. We get the dry stuff by the sackload but the little blighters will only eat it after an appetiser of the wet stuff first.

ouch321 · 15/02/2022 17:09

Onions. Always onions I forget.

Ajsjdjdk · 15/02/2022 17:19

I always forget bin bags!

FingerbangingInBerlin · 15/02/2022 17:22

Tomato puree. Every time.

VelvetThunder · 15/02/2022 17:28

Loo roll and bin bags usually 😒

Somebodylikeyouu · 15/02/2022 17:59

Matches

Cuck00soup · 15/02/2022 17:59

Gravy granules, oregano, stock cubes and white vinegar. Meanwhile, I have a cupboard full of mushroom cuppa soup, paprika and olive oil.

Anyone up for a swap?
