Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Nothing. I have it all delivered by Sainsbury’s, and can add forgotten items up until the night before. They also issue reminders if any regular items seem to be missing.

doadeer · 14/02/2022 20:09

Tin foil

RagnarorBjorn · 14/02/2022 20:10

I have recently swapped from spread to real butter and for some reason we run out much faster.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 14/02/2022 20:11

We always run out of bananas between shops. It's not because I forget to buy them, it's just because sometimes 6 bananas can disappear in 5 minutes.

LubaLuca · 14/02/2022 20:41

Tomato puree. I need to buy them 6 at a time to stand a chance of having some when I need it.

Milk - always milk! We get through gallons of the stuff, I always joke we should buy a cow Wink

Icantthinkofausername123 · 14/02/2022 21:50

Peas… it’s the only veg item we get from the frozen aisle and forget it every time! Luckily the corner shop stocks them

babyturtle19 · 14/02/2022 21:53

Olive oil
Batteries
Butter

kateandme · 14/02/2022 21:55

Those important herbs and spices.
Utilities or bin bags because they are either our of the way of the main shop in a corner or on a different section in every shop.
Baking stuff because unless specifically shopping for it I would miss that isle

JulesJules · 14/02/2022 21:55

Things I always think we have loads of and then suddenly we don't have any:
Tinned tomatoes
Bin bags
Batteries

I never run out of milk (milkman) or loorolls, tissues and kitchen roll (on subscription)

Mummsnett · 14/02/2022 22:03

Matches and tin foil. Random things that only get bought once in a while and are usually on aisles I don't visit usually... Hence forgetting them!

roseberrycherry · 14/02/2022 22:11

Light bulbs
Batteries
Binbags

Seenoevil1 · 14/02/2022 22:12

An onion. Always forget it.

Itstoughbeingamom · 14/02/2022 22:13

Ginger and lemongrass. Can't have my tea without it.

Barryigdig · 14/02/2022 22:14

Mouth wash!

I've been into the supermarket at least 5 times since we ran out and I STILL forget Blush

To be fair, it's in a really weird place at my local supermarket so you really have to go out of your way on a normal weekly shop to find it.
