Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Butter and also bread. Buy all sorts of other random stuff and am a sucker for the yellow sticker area

Asuwere · 14/02/2022 16:11

Eggs, I don't know why but I seem to forget these a lot.

Nsmum14 · 14/02/2022 16:14

Onions.

Nsmum14 · 14/02/2022 16:15

And then of course I can't cook anything.

PickAChew · 14/02/2022 16:20

Bananas. I have one every day but almost always end up running to the local Coop because I forgot to buy them in my big shop.

Itchylegs · 14/02/2022 16:24

Eggs, for some reason I rarely see them in the supermarket and usually have to remember to seek them out.

MangoLipstick · 14/02/2022 16:27

Bin bags
Herbs
Butter
Tins of kidney beans/pinto beans
Some condiment like tomato or brown sauce

BodenseeBoden · 14/02/2022 16:35

Coffee Sad

MatronicO6 · 14/02/2022 16:36

Washing up liquid and cleaning products in general

IncompleteSenten · 14/02/2022 16:52

Caffeine free coffee.

Every time.

My subconscious clearly objects to me going caffeine free.

moirarosebabay · 14/02/2022 17:04

Bin liners
Dishwasher tablets
Batteries

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 14/02/2022 17:11

Always batteries! And if I do remember, I always get the wrong ones

sona2025 · 14/02/2022 17:14

Bin bags!

A580Hojas · 14/02/2022 17:19

Tissues, eggs, frozen chips (always forget to check freezer), lemons, fabric conditioner (but not washing powder Confused).

nancake · 14/02/2022 17:20

Usually everything a go out for lol come back with everything a didn't go for hehe

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 14/02/2022 17:20

Wet cat food, ground coffee (because the amount we get through in a week is very variable), creme fraiche and fruit.

Iwanttenofthose · 14/02/2022 17:23

Charcoal for BBQs in the summer!

Greydogs123 · 14/02/2022 17:23

Kidney beans or coconut milk. I make either a chicken korma or a chilli every week and almost every time I go to the cupboard for one of those, it’s not there!

AdoraBell · 14/02/2022 17:26

Milk
Cheese
Fruit juice
Batteries
Loo roll

Those are the most frequent things that are forgotten

N0va · 14/02/2022 17:31

I always forget binbags, laundry products and cleaning products we need (always manage to get loads we don't need though!)

Although, I never forget Krispy Kreme doughnuts Hmm

N0va · 14/02/2022 17:33

Olive oil, clingfilm, tin foil, butter!

Forget them in my previous answer which I think speaks volumes!😂

motherstongue · 14/02/2022 17:37

Like many others it’s the cleaning isle items as I tend to buy in bulk then don’t realise I’m on the last one until it’s too late. So bin liners, bleach, furniture polish, oven cleaner, dish washer cleaners, washing power and dishwasher tablets etc.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 14/02/2022 17:52

It's usually the stuff that we have in the "overflow" cupboard that I presume we still have....until it's too late and I realise that we used it all but forgot to re-stock eg. tea bags, porridge oats, kitchen roll, tissues

IWasHotInTheNineties · 14/02/2022 17:53

Milk.
We probably get through 4 or 5 pints a day and I am always going to the shop to buy more. I go there and end up buying whatever is on offer and some snacks. But no milk.

meow1989 · 14/02/2022 17:55

Kitchen roll! Luckily I know this about me so have some old clothing for use as rags to wipe/mop up spills but it qould be much easier of there was so kitchen paper around
