Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Another vote for milk - you'd think I would just drink it automatically when you consume as much tea as I do.. but apparently not! Also: teabags - the two main ingredients for a cup of tea! It's a good job water comes from the tap :)

Eggs, bread, butter, cat food and cat litter...and when I do remember there's miscommunication at home and we end up with 2 lots of everything. Smile

Kirst26 · 17/02/2022 12:45

Bin bags. Why?

GoodMorningMrMagpie · 17/02/2022 13:10

It's the items we always buy in bulk and take for granted we always have - teabags, soap powder, pasta, flour, rice - all the necessities!

I've started storing toilet roll in the cupboard where the washing machine lives so that every day when I sort the laundry I can see how much is left Smile

Stock cubes

They are small so easy to miss on the supermarket shelf, plus I usually forget which variety we have run out of!

Sunflower101 · 17/02/2022 13:45

It’s the things I only buy occasionally that I forget such as grease proof paper, tin foil, matches or tissues. I seem to blank out that aisle when I’m in the supermarket!

WowOoo · 17/02/2022 16:50

Usually things I assume I have like tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, pasta or toilet roll. I'm usually stocked up on them.

I usually forget the majority of my list but still somehow manage spending £100 🙄

But I have adhd so impulse control and short term memory are not in my favour anyway.

Workingworld12 · 17/02/2022 19:17

I usually forget to buy garlic and salt, which we use in every single meal prep!

Coldbit · 17/02/2022 20:31

Bin bags. We never seem to have enough. Luckily I usually have a few spare carrier bags which can be used until I can get to the shops.

Jolie12345 · 17/02/2022 21:14

Bin bags. Every. Single. Time.

Perpop · 17/02/2022 23:31

Gardeningcreature · 17/02/2022 23:31

Tomato ketchup
Vinegar
Tinned tomatoes
Washing up liquid
Cat biscuits.

DahliaMacNamara · 18/02/2022 00:43

Salt. Always the salt. Not that it's a regular purchase, but I suppose that's why it gets forgotten.

AintNoPartyLikeANumber10Party · 18/02/2022 01:04

Recycling bags, light bulbs, floor cleaner

Petitcanard · 18/02/2022 02:06

Always shoe polish- never know which part of the supermarket to find it in!

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 18/02/2022 02:27

The one thing I’ve gone in for. Despite having bags crammed with stuff! Usually loo roll!

Sleepinghippo · 18/02/2022 06:40

Always night time nappies for the potty trained toddler. Just in case!!!

Lubeyboobyalt · 18/02/2022 06:49
