After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Ben and Hollie

Andy's Adventures on CBeebies! Dinosaurs is most definitely my pub quiz specialist subject thanks to Mr Day 😊

Mousefunky · 08/08/2018 20:27

I find Hey Duggee very amusing.

I luuurve Ben and Holly. My kids are getting a bit old for it now though. (Sad face)

ncullinane · 08/08/2018 20:34

I love watching Something Special, such a good program!

mummy2pickle · 08/08/2018 20:34

I love Topsy and Tim, just a feel good family programme.
I also like peppa pig and Mickey Mouse clubhouse.

mummyG2C · 08/08/2018 20:38

Got to love Hey Dugee and Ben and Holly (nanny plum is a legend!) and can't beat a bit of Waffle doggie (waffle the wonder dog) I actually get quite involved with a lot of the kids programs though they actually are all quite engaging for adults except Bing and his annoying whinging!

FoofFighter · 08/08/2018 20:48

@LadyFuchsiaGroan there are a lot on YouTube which if you have a smart tv can play on there.

Dd favourite retro is Jamie and the Magic Torch 🙂

Sarah and Duck, I keep thinking of the narrator in his previous role as Peter Mannion in The Thick of It. Love his voice combined with my brain translating the story into something sarcastic, makes CBeebies way more tolerable

professionallurker · 08/08/2018 21:12

Hey Duggee is a given.
Spongebob rates highly too for the laughs (a lot of it goes over my kids' heads).
Also Dengineers, a wonderful cross between Homes under the Hammer and Surprise Surprise for children!

Thatforagameof · 08/08/2018 21:13

I’ve become a fan of Vampirina, love all the singing and music in it :)

thingywotsit · 08/08/2018 21:26

It's unanimous in our household. Hey Duggee is the number one show, we set our school run by it!

Easylikeasonntagmorgan · 08/08/2018 21:33

Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom, Shimmer and Shine and Hey Duggee are my favourites...also Something Special, as we are learning Makaton to help DD communicate

JimmyGrimble · 08/08/2018 21:43

Shaun the Sheep and it’s absolutely not a secret. I love that woolly little fella. There is no dialogue yet the characters manage to convey some profound truths about the human (and ovine, bovine, canine) condition. It’s a must watch!

littleme96 · 08/08/2018 21:48

I have always enjoyed Ben & Holly and Hey Duggee. Now that they are older, I really like Just Add Magic on Amazon Prime. They aren't allowed to watch the next episode without me... Blush

Imgettingcheesefries · 08/08/2018 21:49

I really like horrible histories, I've been known to watch that when the kids aren't even here. When my teenager was still little CBeebies we're still showing some of the things I used to watch as a kid (come outside, tots tv etc) and I used to enjoy that. I like Hey Duggee too

Marlenaff7 · 08/08/2018 21:51

I have two boys so most of programs that they like to watch don't grab my attention but " The Amazing World of Gumball" 😂 I a man truly laughing at loud! Some of the jokes are probably made just for parents to understand, absolutely genius!

Octonauts, I’ve learnt loads about life in the ocean from this programme!

lauryloo · 08/08/2018 23:00

Scooby doo - my 4 year old loves it

JudgeRulesNutterButter · 09/08/2018 00:01

Hey Duggee for sure Grin
Also Biggleton, Sarah & Duck, and Shimmer & Shine- DH and I are firmly Team Zeta though BlushGrin

overduemamma · 09/08/2018 00:03

Paw patrol.. the theme tune gets stuck in my head everyday. The kids love it when i sing it very loudly to them. Also the big block songs and the stick, stick, stick song :)

Happytea · 09/08/2018 00:13

My husband and daughter love to watch Teen Titans together. It's cute as they eat their cereal together on a Saturday morning. My daughter and I really enjoy just add magic. It's really predictable at times but addictive too! Lol. As a family it has to be Sing!

heymammy · 09/08/2018 00:25

I admit to being partial to a few Pokémon episodes but my recent favourite is Gortimer Gibbons' Life on Normal Street...it is very sweet and unassuming but even the 15yr old enjoyed it!
