After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Waffle the wonder dog ! How did I forget that earlier? Theme tune alone is fabulous.

Yep, like everyone else, there’s little better than Hey Dugee. Alexander Armstrong’s delivery is just TIC enough for grown ups.

Otherwise I don’t think there has been anything to have such an influence on my boys as Octonauts. It’s been so educational, they moved in from this to Blue Planet, it really triggered a genuine interest in marine life.

Ben and Holly is legitimately funny and Mister Maker is great for arts and crafts ideas. Also have a soft spot for Justin's House, mostly due to DS's bum wiggle dance he always does during the opening song Grin

I have only just discovered Ben and Holly, which is brilliant for the little ones. Team Umi Zoomi is great and really helps with their counting skills. But for proper mum appeal, it's got to be Operation Ouch. Biology, experiments, juvenile humour and Drs Chris and Xand. Proper!!

Hazzleton · 21/08/2018 19:48

My Little Pony. It has very decent story lines!

duck22 · 21/08/2018 19:55

I like fireman sam. The new one is great

46lena · 21/08/2018 20:41

My daughters love Shimmer and Shine.

HowsAnnie25 · 21/08/2018 20:46

I like a few of the cartoons my children watch, some are genuinely very funny like Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, We Bare Bears.
My favourites are ones when I was little though - Fingermouse, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Button Moon, Dungeons and Dragons and so on! Oh Rentaghost!

EmilyK83 · 21/08/2018 20:55

Erm...Superwings. I've learned so much about other countries from it, haha!

BlytheofWindyWillows · 21/08/2018 21:10

Hey Duggee because I love all things Alexander Armstrong, Sarah and Duck just because it's lovely and another vote for Ben & Holly for the awesome Nanny Plum

Beverley39 · 21/08/2018 21:19

I love Masha and the Bear... and of course Paw patrol but I love Ben and Holly

katiewalters · 21/08/2018 22:09

my pet and me

Rosesb3 · 21/08/2018 23:15

Tom & Jerry has always been a favourite of mine, which thankfully the kids love too, so we always enjoy watching that one together. Blue’s Clues is another one, I love getting involved and helping the kids work out the mystery! Smile

KittyKat88 · 21/08/2018 23:18

I definitely have favourite TV shows which I love watching with my DDs (6 & 8) - Danger Mouse, Horrible Histories and So Awkward in particular!

SettledTraveller · 21/08/2018 23:50

I love Octonaughts and Go Jetters, I learn so much each time I watch them Blush

OverCapacity · 22/08/2018 01:10

Scooby Doo is my sons current obsession. As soon as it begins he’ll confidently tell me who the monster really is then proceed throughout the episode to change his mind and then proudly declare he’d guessed it right at the great unveiling (as he will have accused every character at some point! Grin)

Emabby · 22/08/2018 11:10

My son adores fireman Sam and telly everyone important messages

hutchina1986 · 23/08/2018 08:35

Sarah and Duck, love the strangeness of it!

mandes1 · 25/08/2018 00:23

I really like the voices in Bing - so cute. Also love the dumping ground and Got what it Takes on CBBC. Horrible Histories is probably one i'll keep watching long after the kids have grown :-)

Loftzilla · 26/08/2018 08:36

Peppa Pig for me!

flozza42 · 26/08/2018 17:16
