After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Love Peter Rabbit such excitement in every episode.

Summerdays2014 · 08/08/2018 16:42

I like Ben and Holly.
My sons likes paw patrol (on repeat...)

IAmTheWifeOfMaoTseTung · 08/08/2018 16:46

Sarah and Duck for me too. Roger Allam could read the phone book and I’d tune in.

Sunnybeachbabe · 08/08/2018 16:54

Another vote for Ben and Holly, plus I'll sometimes sit and watch older kids programs like the dumping ground or the next step, with no kids to help me.

foxessocks · 08/08/2018 17:06

Ben and Holly and twirlywoos

Smurfy23 · 08/08/2018 17:10

Hey Duggee- actually very funny- and Go Jetters for the educational value...

thanksamillion · 08/08/2018 17:24

I love So Awkward which is almost Green Wing-esq (but less rude). The DC pause it until I'm ready to watch!

Emmasmum2013 · 08/08/2018 17:42

I love My Little Pony, me and DD love singing and the songs are awesome. We have them on in the car too!

And I like Spirit Riding Free on Netflix.
Me and DH are also eagerly awaiting the next series of Miraculous Ladybug on Netflix. Will they find out their secret identities?! I'll be gutted if DD loses interest in that one before the next series!

Sierra259 · 08/08/2018 17:45

Sarah and Duck is my absolute favourite. It's so sweet, gentle and funny. Also love Octonauts. My Little Pony wasn't anywhere near as bad as I'd feared! Waffle the Bloody Wonder Dog loses out purely as that song just stays in my head CONSTANTLY Confused

My 10 and 8 year old tend not to watch a lot of TV anymore, but I used to enjoy Mr Bloom's Nursery and Gigglebiz. Also, Justin's house!

OhHolyFuck · 08/08/2018 17:58

Hey duggee! Stick, stick, stick, stick, sticky, sticky, stick-stick.....

kitkatsky · 08/08/2018 18:02

Absolutely adore Ben and Holly. My DD is getting a bit old for it now and I'm so sad! #nannyplumforever

FoofFighter · 08/08/2018 18:08

Recently discovered all the episodes of Pingu on Prime, and dc (4) is really enjoying them, as am I for the third time round!

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 08/08/2018 18:16

I quite like pjmasks, and thomas the tank engine- although thanks to prime we watched paddington bear 2 a few days back- its heartwarming, funny and had my 5 yearold trying to brush in his ears with an electric toothbrush! Takes all sorts, but our whole family loved it (5yo, 6yo, 16yo, 37yo and 41yo) 😁

peodar · 08/08/2018 18:18

We love the Go Jetters! Hey Duggee is liked by Mummy more than DD at the moment, apart from the STICK SONG.

WilmaJean · 08/08/2018 18:31

Hey Duggee! A-woof!

Mummy2aRockstar · 08/08/2018 18:31

I love hey duggee and we enjoy the original danger mouse together on amazon prime.

Kraggle · 08/08/2018 19:02

Also a giant Hey Dugee fan here. It’s the only kids show I happily watch, even if my dds aren’t around.

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 08/08/2018 19:13

I used to enjoy watching Hey Duggee and Bing with my dd. But we both really enjoy watching older children's shows such as Rainbow, Rosie and Jim, Brum, Pingu, Sooty etc. I have always wondered why someone has never made a retro kids TV channel...

GoingToInfinity · 08/08/2018 19:15

I absolutely love Hey Duggee! I was a Brownie, Scout and Explorer growing up so I spent a lot of time trying to collect badges. I think it's great they've got a diverse range of characters with their own personalities and interests.

I'm also a big fan of Something Special. I always watch it with my DS and we learn and practice the signs together. It's good to be learning new things even at my age.

Faithless12 · 08/08/2018 19:24

Troll Hunter and Tales of ladybug and cat noir. Blush

piraterach · 08/08/2018 19:56

Another hey duggee lover here! Grin I secretly want to be able to collect the badges lol

WhiteHartLane · 08/08/2018 20:09

Another vote for Hey Duggee.
DS1 and I used to love Come Outside, the old episodes were shown on Cbeebies a few years ago and I have lovely memories of us watching it after DS's morning at pre-school.

YesitsJacqueline · 08/08/2018 20:16

I have to agree with Fireman Sam ! I love their Welsh accents, the characters, the morals of the story - always educational. Its very comedic- Elvis is so silly ! I buy the books for bedtime stories too. Oh what will i do when ds grows out of it !
" when you hear that fire alarm........."

happymittens · 08/08/2018 20:20
  • Hey Duggee. I particularly love the panda who was obviously created with Catherine Tate's "Feral Nan" in mind.
  • Octonauts - love the different accents, and the way tweak's ears twizzle when she's worried 😀
  • Sarah and Duck - I love everything about it
  • Sofia the First - she's such a cutie, and amber is hilarious!
