After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

We have been watching lots of old Disney programmes such as Hannah Montana and The Suite Life

nailslikeknives · 19/08/2018 21:56

We loved Bookaboo. It's the perfect mix of tv and books - a modern jackanory!
We've now rewatched it all and need some more new ones please!
A book a day or we just can't play! Grin

I really like Ben and Holly. Genuinely laugh at the mutiny on the bunty joke every time Grin

Also Hey Duggee! What's not to love about Duggee

FixItUpChappie · 19/08/2018 22:38

I really like peppa pig and this weekend the Disney channel had on some Tinkerbell specials which I enjoyed way more than my boys who seem pretty much over princess/girl characters 😒

More positive male role models please (boy cars and trucks don't count).

I've loved watching Life on Normal Street, the Gortimer Gibbons series. It's just a great mix of weird, funny and emotional. I cried at several episodes. My daughter and I binge watch it on rainy days. My favourite is the haunted library van, hers is when Gortimer has duplicates.

Goosebumps, I still watch it!

MonsterRehab23 · 20/08/2018 15:05

DP and I love the the Loud House and will sometimes secretly watch it when DC’s are in bed. Can’t believe it’s never been mentioned here on MN. I also like Alvin and the Chipmunks, Barbie Dreamhouse and a bit of Peppa Pig for the adult humour.

Pmliu · 20/08/2018 17:03

Lreece · 20/08/2018 21:50

There are so many children’s programmes which I secretly like, including Waffle The wonder dog, the adventures of catnewau & ladybug, horrid Henry, Shane the chef and blaze just to make a few

Deanie30 · 20/08/2018 22:07

Fireman Sam is a favourite of mine and my daughters! Today I actually paused it while getting ready to see what happened in the end 🙈xx

Bellroyd · 21/08/2018 07:34

Still enjoy Tom and Jerry and Mr. Bean and quite like some of the new erones, like Rabbid Invasion and Teen Titans Go

3pinkandablue · 21/08/2018 07:39

My son and I love daisy and Ollie ! Love how a man is the main character for a change and how informative it is :) even I’ve learnt a few things from this show lol x

somethingfromnothing · 21/08/2018 07:45

I love Go Jetters. Ubercorn Grin

DollyTots · 21/08/2018 08:19

I got a bit of a shock that I was actually excited when new episodes of Fireman Sam were being advertised. Great characters, far fetched storylines and humour make it great.

My 2 year old daughter also loves Blippi, and me & my husband live the songs. Especially 'pooooooooooolice car'

gunnerboy77 · 21/08/2018 10:42

Love Horrible Histories, wacky, fun and very educational. The songs are great too!

mummyto2boys01 · 21/08/2018 11:46

My boys love Go Jetters because they like to learn about different places around the world :)

outnumbered77 · 21/08/2018 13:37

Have to say that I love Hey Duggee! So funny!

ktmd · 21/08/2018 14:19

Peppa Pig is hilarious!

greenjojocat · 21/08/2018 14:38

Hey Duggee! DH and I are always quoting it, even when DC aren't there Grin

dwerry · 21/08/2018 15:48

I love Thomas the Tank Engine whenever it's shown. The little adventures they get up to and the sound of the narrators voice I find kind of soothing.
