When they send the DM letter it’s the agent/coach who calculates and issues payment. Write on your journal, thanks for the letter. It doesnt state payment amount though, could you let me know how much and when please.

Thank you shall I write this under payment or work coach? I’ve waited 7 and half weeks to get the dm letter 😵‍💫 I don’t know if it’s because of Christmas and new year or if its because my uc is being reviewed, hopefully both will be completed next week

Do it as under payment. The coach should be sorting out back pay and your review separately as the review is moving forward and this is money you’ve been entitled to for months so no matter what comes of the review, you are owed the money. However, knowing UC they’ll wait because of the festive period but they have 3-5 day max SLA to reply and 4 weeks to sort, not that they’ll tell you that though. I work for government, most people would have had 2-3 weeks off at Christmas. It’ll all pick back up again tomorrow. Good luck!! Yes do that keep writing that’s what I do they get sick. Also request a same day payment I always do u get it in your account same day by 8 o clock. I was lucky last time mine took week from verifying her to payment this time it’s not been that quick still waiting for back pay. Xx

I had my dm letter saying they accepted, that was 15th, still waiting for back pay letter, I called 18th, got response 19th to say will be notified when sent, I wrote again fri just gone asking again no response yet :-/

@Curlycookie5 thank you so much for your advice, i called this morning and explained everything on the phone to the call handler. He said it definitely sounds like he hasnt looked into the claim as they are both on priority. He said i should find out within a couple of weeks. So fingers crossed hes right, i just want to know now good or bad but I feel so much better for calling! X

Have just spoken to DLA over the phone, our scan date was 02.12.2025, a decision was made this morning (he wouldn’t say the outcome), now waiting for the letter.

Finally!!!! Sounds like they are back to work after the new year. I’m still waiting for the backdate letter I’ve put a message on my journal so the wait continues…

I’ve put a message under payment yesterday so just to wait now, I have my review appointment this week too so hopefully by the end of the week both will be sorted and I can’t relax, I feel like all we do as Sen parents is wait 🤦‍♀️ good luck with your renewal, didn’t you not long ago get a decision for MR or COC?

This is the longest I’ve waited for Dla and uc, what date did you do your change on uc?

The waiting is the worst part, hopefully now they are back at work properly after the Christmas holidays you will get a decision, is this for your new claim you’ve been made a priority?

Ring up and press other in options then ask them could they tell u which rate was awarded. I did this tried my luck few others have to and they tell you xx

Added change 22nd, verified 29th, has said today it’s with specialist team to decide if backdate available. I’ve asked for same day payment when it’s sorted xx

Yeah I did it was MR. Now the renewal is due because of all the waiting! 😩 I hope I don’t have to fight it but she does have an autism diagnosis now so fingers crossed. Good luck for your back pay!

That might work in your favour to get a longer award, my daughter got a 7 year 7 month award with her coc I’m sure it’s because she’s been diagnosed now whereas my son that’s not been diagnosed only got a 2 year award at renewal, fingercrossed for you

Did anyone have to send their child's birth certificate? My SC date was the 22nd December and got 2 letters on the 2nd January asking for birth certificate and saying they had received the forms.

Just had the letter about my COC for my oldest who is diagnosed autism and combined adhd. She was refused HRC because all 9 year olds require for someone to be up with them all night. Anyone got any idea of how i can proof it? Im so fed up as im up all night making sure she is safe, she is highly impulsive, turns the cooker on, slides down banister rails, hits her sisters continously and will attack our pets. Im goiny to do a MR but not sure how to evidence it all. Any help would be greatly appreciated xx

Had a text this evening to say my child qualifies for DLA, which is one huge relief. I called and left a note on my account yesterday to say I’m sending in further evidence to support higher rate mobility so fingers crossed

Hi does anyone know what I should be getting from UC if I get awarded MRC and LRM?

Hi just curious as to how long everyone has been waiting for their new claims so far, I did a new claim in 2024 and waited for 21 weeks for a decision, iv just put it a new claim for my daughter, sent in the forms last week and wondering if it’s going to be another painful wait😩
