Got our tribunal date just before Xmas - our initial reassessment request was over two years ago! Am so ready for this to be over.

Rang today for a different reason. Whilst i was on the phone I asked for an update. My childs claim is with a decision maker and got told the decision would be after the holiday now.
Just updating incase anyone has a date near our scan date.

I'm so sorry it took so long to reply back I completely forgot I posted here and with Christmas and my eldest DDs birthday it went over my head! I can't remember the exact date but it was January, around the 4th I want to say but could have been a bit later!
Have you heard anything back yet? Hopefully won't be long for you! I was surprised how quick it was done

MR scan date 23rd May still not even with a decision maker when I rang up on Tuesday.
32 weeks waiting 🥲 don’t understand how they can say it’s done in date order when am seeing so many awards from June an early July . Anyone still waiting from May it’s driving me insane now 😫

Hi my child got awarded I got the phone call Monday to tell me what the award was when will I receive the back pay with it been new years

My MR scan date is 02/06/2025 still no decision. Advisers have been very rude. What can be done. It’s getting very hard now. Not really sure how to deal with such

Its awful the waiting, and im glad its over for you! I havent heard a thing, i thought id ring today and the guy on the phone just gave the generic answers to wait 26 weeks and they are not giving out time scales etc. He didnt even ask any security questions so feel as though he didnt even look for me. It was marked as priority last week, rang to double check it was on monday and they said it was and the guy today said it wont be marked as priority as its only for terminally ill children which i know isnt true. Just feel like ive been fudged about so much. Sorry for the rant xx

Nope not a thing, they said on Wednesday they can see it is still with a dm, I’ve got a review call next week, I bet it’s sorted straight away after that despite them telling me the review wouldn’t effect this because it’s different departments and they have a timeframe to do the backdating.

My daughters was made priority under financial hardship as we needed to start claiming Dla for her to make our house safe asap, but my sons nc was taking so long that they made it a priority but there was 3 people that said they’ve put it on there before it was actually made a priority, I wonder if there is different priority lists, my daughters was done in 3 days but my sons was done in 7 days. It sounds like the person you called today didn’t even check, if only they knew how stressful it is, hopefully you get a answer next week 🤞

I called 18/12 and was told case manager would respond by 22nd at 6pm i got a message 19th saying I will be notified when payment sent... I wrote on journal today and no reply yet

So he just basically gave me a load of nonsense then. Thank you for letting me know. It makes me feel like im not going insane. Honestly my husband had to leave work in may to help me care for our children who all have ADHD and Autism and multiple other health issues. So have took a massive pay cut and are struggling financially with everything we need for our children as things are just not cheap. The twins need specialist cots as they keep hurting themselves on theirs but cant afford the 700pound each for specialist beds for them. Im just at the end of my tether with it all but im sure i got put down for priority because it was taking too long. They might just think no she doesnt need a priority. Just getting in my own head too much about it all. Sorry for the long post but thank you, you really are a massive help. Have you heard out from UC?x

I would call back on Monday and say what you have just said, ask for it to be made a priority under financial hardship as your partner has had to give up work to help you look after your children and you need the Dla to be able to financially provide the right care for them. Dla takes way to long, I waited 32 weeks for my daughters COC, it’s an absolute joke waiting these times when it’s for the care of are disabled children. I’m still waiting on uc, it’s been 7 weeks 😵‍💫 I have a review phone call next week so I’m hoping that is what they are waiting for to issue the backpay, they keep saying they are done separately but I think it’s a way of delaying it, no way has it been with a dm since 11/12 🤦‍♀️

I have been waiting 104 weeks for my tribunal, and it’s in another 4. It can, and often does, take aaaaaaages.

Thank you i will do, will they ask for any sort of proof as the only but of proof i have is his carers element on UC. It definitely does especially when people are struggling. I hope they get awarded, ive sent of so much proof for them from multiple professionals but im worried its still going to be a decline. I dont have the fight in me to do another MR. I know you waited a hell of a long time for it to be done and its not right people having to wait so long! Im on 24 weeks for my COC so i know im going to be waiting until march for that to be done.
I really do hope yours is sorted for you next week and you can finally put all the waiting behind you, bless you! Xx

Mine was 21/11 was awarded 19/12

Wait time was under 5 weeks for my daughters NC we didn't send ID but they did ask for the birth certificate 2 weeks after they recieved the forms.

My scan date was the 8/10 and I still haven’t heard anything, will be 13 weeks on Wednesday😴. So disheartening seeing claims after being awarded

@Emzi538 finally received the dm letter today, let’s see how long it takes them to backdate and send the money owed. Are you still waiting?
