I sent it beginning of October. I’ve done a renewal before and sent everything off mega early and still only found out 2 weeks before the award ends so I didn’t really see the point of sending it mega early unless you can

Do people ring up for update or just wait until a week before ?

I’m so impatient so I have rung once to check they got some additional information and then I rang last week just to see if there was any update. My scan date on the letter is actually 15th of October.!

Unfortunately still no decision after speaking to the DM on Wednesday.

I just got of the phone, waited 30 minutes but call handler was pretty rude. She asked If it was a new claim and I said no then she said well if it’s a COC then there is a massive backlog so you’ll just have to wait, I said I’ve been waiting 28 weeks and just wanted to find out if it’s with a DM yet and she said like I’ve said there’s a back log and she cut the phone off. She didn’t even ask for any of my details to check for me, just jumped right into their usual there’s a backlog speech🙈 I’m just going to wait until Friday and call back then X

We don't have an official diagnosis but it is being looked into at the moment because ds will eat no edible items.
We don't have our next appointment until may 2026. Which I was told if ds was still showing signs of pica he would then get a diagnosis at this appointment.

Nothing worse than waiting on hold for soo long after weeks of waiting to get a rude call handler! Ruins your mood! Xx

Had a phone call Friday from a decision maker. Completely unexpected as I waited 28 weeks for mt other child's and that was only a month or so ago. No decision yet shes calling the school for some info .

That’s what I normally call and ask if they’ve received evidence I’ve sent so this is the first time I’ve called just for an update🙈 I’m in Scotland so don’t know if call handlers are the same X

Called this morning to see if they have my final piece of evidence. Still not got it. It will be two weeks on thursday since i sent it off. Im now panicking its been lost. Anyone else had this problem and they managed to find it soon. I have tracking reference so she said that should help.

That happened to me after 4 weeks they hadn’t received anything so I sent it signed for and they got it the next day.

I called... had really lovely person on phone, yes recieved extra evidence and has been scanned... still in holding queue and cant give any time frame out and cant be expedited as its a coc, they goibg in date order so could be another couple weekd or couple months yet :-/

I’ve seen a few end of April’s awarded last week so hopefully not too long, the only good thing is that it can go to a DM at any point so just because it isn’t today, it could tomorrow so🤞🏽X

Did you send the one they lost signed for? As i have but i forgot to put there references on them!

They said there is huge backlog hence no time frames now

We did not at first was back and forth to the doctors until health vistor referred us for a pica blood test which came back positive my child will try to eat baby wipes stones string hair walls cushions constantly got to keep an eye out did get some sensory pica knecklaces which have been a blessing

They have been saying that for a few months now, I’ve been calling every few weeks since July and I’ve been told there’s no time frame since then , it’s not done in exact date order so realistically April and early May will hopefully be done before Christmas. They seem to at least be on middle of April and people haven’t waited longer than 31 weeks and a few days so here’s hoping we don’t wait longer than that😬X

We had some bloods done for various things and genetics testing. From the bloods taken so far the only thing they show is ds has a under active thyroid and he's a sickle cell carriar.

From what I can work out I think this is middle rate care. How old is your little one?
