Thank you such a relief , the anxiety is horrible nothing worse ! I hope you get your decison this week, I can't see it being much longer. What pisses me off though they say wait for text and you don't get a text message 🙄, it just adds more anxiety when you know it's with decison maker thinking it could be a decline, nightmare. It's their fault people keep ringing because each person says something else . Good luck xxx

Yeahh it’s awfull I’m sure we was talking on here over the weekend aswell , yeah it is a piss take but uknow what gets me the fact she said they don’t need any evidence for my claim it just needs a decision then I ask if it’s with a DM she says no well someone’s obviously looked at it to state my claim don’t need any more evidence

I’ve got this feeling itl be around his birthday which is 3/6

xx

definitely not a valid reason! at least you finally have an answer and it’s a good thing his care got changed!xx

Oh yes definitely glad I've got a decision finally! Although the wait will start again with an Mr 🤣 and only awarded for 2 years which I find odd as he is only 10 years old but 2027 is a while off I guess. Also have to do coc on UC now so have to wait for that too 🤣 x

No nothing yet. I haven't rang them since I asked about sending extra evidence in as I'm only on 14 weeks today and said I'd hold off until 15 weeks but I don't feel like that's gonna happen 😅

I’d be more worried if they sent a letter saying u ain’t filled it out properly

No, they just said that I didn't seem to put much for the mobility side on the forms, but they can see from reports and evidence he has dyspraxia, and hypermobility, and boots and insoles to support ect... I said the questions seemed very 'yes or no' and although he falls over lots he can get himself back up. He said he would make a note and the questions weren't very well suited for older children. My child is 11.
I did ask if he needed more info but he said no, it will be looked at today and we will get a letter saying yes or no within 10 days.
I just thought it was strange they called as no one else seems to mention them calling.

I would say that’s a good thing then at least there checking to make sure u have done it properly rather than sending u a letter to say no

Lollypops88 · 27/05/2025 18:35

Hey everyone my renewal date is today, I read my form wrong and only sent the forms off on the 13th of May! I rang today and they said they would mark it as urgent does anyone no how long this will take i got no time frame from them

Nieks247 · 27/05/2025 19:37

MR 03/12 25 weeks today, was tempted to call them but I don’t think it’s even worth it as they seem so far behind will call next week.
hopefully not long left

ProudZebra · 27/05/2025 21:08

on my ds online medical records it states that he has degenerative lumbar disc disease which is one of the parts of his condition, I’m not sure whether to print this off and send it as evidence? He has a rare bone disease which is why I am trying to claim for him but I’m not sure if this would help prove the severity of his needs

Bit the bullet and rang decision made on Friday 23rd June. Changed from mrc to hrc but lrm so going to do mr for hrm. The only thing that got him knocked back for hrm was because school statement says he takes sensory break walks during his school day so mobility isn't an issue (vua) But as his walks are literally to the end of a corridor and back 2-3mins and have to be supervised due to him eloping and only as and when it is behavioural dependent I don't think this is a valid reason for the decline. He meets all criteria for mua when outside. X

Congratulations hun you finally got a decision glad you got it changed to hrc shame bout the mobility part are you going to do MR straight away or wait? X

It’s not fair keep moving goal posts when they have already dragged it out 25 weeks! I would call in the morning!

It’s awful isn’t it, almost a full year now since I rang for the forms, started mr process just after Christmas so 5months ago to be told now it could be another month or two! It’s ridiculous, our children are being failed by this silly outdated system

I’m not sure they realise (or care) the mental impact this ridiculous wait time has on people!
having to wait 20 plus weeks for decisions to be made and than an extra 25 weeks for MRs !

s39 · 27/05/2025 22:36

I waited 19 weeks for NC decision now 18 weeks tomorrow for MR by the time I hear back will it will be close to a year! 😴
