In DLA news we got our renewal’! Literally arrived one day before the award expired, renewed for three years! Very relieved it was the same as last time - HRC and LRM

Definitely, I have signed and shared with friends and family. This cannot happen! causing stigma and inequality when our children are older, threatening to take away pips, yet can't give them the tools when there younger to have a fighting chance of living a somewhat independent life/ holding down jobs, with the failing education system. Sometimes I feel I may be better of homeschooling, but it is difficult with costs, I've not been able to work since I took him out , only the odd shift here and there. His mental wellbeing though will always come first and when he tries again in September and he dips or it's not right, I will have no choice but to remove him again. Mainstream is just not the right setting . He's only 6 and already being failed

Definitely signing this!!! They cant take ehcps away! There just trying to make everything so much harder for us trying to protect our little ones and get them the help they truly deserve! It's hard enough as it is!

Im a coc but mine was only Signed for last fri... I think the wait times will depend on how much extra evidence and what kind :-/
Im not expecting to hear til dec at the earliest :-/

@LB1988x keep me updated on the outcome. It’s nice to hear about the other side of things in this thread not much information online about appeals. The online tracking just states it could be months before a date for court. The gov website states 6 months wait. Nearly been waiting 18 months all in all since COC submitted. I am not complaining as we still recieve the care component but honestly everyday is a battle with a SEN child as everyone on this thread knows. My LO has outgrown the buggy and at the moment we’re stuck indoors everyday as I can’t handle the severe meltdowns and dangers. X

Any MRs awarded today week 17 today looks like I got 8 week plus to go

I rang the tribunal who confirmed the dwp had reconsidered and changed our award, appeal closed, then rang dla who confirmed we’ve been awarded HRM under SMI until 2036. We received back pay today. The DWP were almost 7 weeks over the response date, they lapsed the appeal just 3 days ago. The reasons we were declined were honestly ridiculous. I really hope you hear something soon, 18 months is just shocking, sad that as Sen parents just one thing isn’t made easy for our families, it shouldn’t be a fight for our children to be recognised and acknowledged. X

Oh how annoying that they keep giving different information! Either way, I’m going to wait another week and call again. Let me know if you hear anything more and good luck :)

Had a phone call today asking for my bank details sd 3/2 waiting 3-5 days for the letter

I didn’t think they worked on a weekend maybe doing overtime to catch up this ridiculous back log!!
