Oh well I'm hoping the wait won't be much longer 🤣 it's killing me off il give it another 2 wks and probably moan on here again haha. Massive congratulations to you & your little one

Thank you. I'm sure it won't be too long. I dont know what she's been awarded yet sp hopefully find out soon. I camt being myself to call so figured a little longer wait won't hurt 🤣

Judgejudysno1fan · 29/04/2025 15:57

It usually takes about a week to fill up a thread. I'm thinking by thread 110, I will update that My dd has been awarded. What about you?

Judgejudysno1fan · 29/04/2025 15:59

Foreverlearning88 · 29/04/2025 14:53

How long after people received a text or was told over the phone did they received letter or payment please. I want to know what she was awarded but can't bring myself to ring 🤣

Apparently 4 working days but you will need to factor in a weekend if necessary. In your case, it might clear Friday, nice weekend for your little one then.

Thank you! First thing I'm doing is getting her some sensory bits and lights for her room to make her a little chill out area!! 😍😍

Poobs2022 · 29/04/2025 16:55

Here's a wild update for you all. I finally called for an update. Every time I tried I ran out of time to wait much longer so just sat there for 45 mins waiting. They received my LB's claim for mobility on 25th Oct. I called in Jan to see if they got the forms - all ok. The guy today tells me that I should call back again at the END OF MAY for an update. By which time I'll be at 30 weeks. He then tried to tell me the COC are currently at 20 week processing time even though I pointed out I am now at 26 weeks. I didn't realise mobility part was classed as COC. I thought it was a new claim. But either way, 30 WEEKS!!

I see alot on Facebook dla group which I'm either not sure are entirely true or maybe Scotland or Ireland who wait times are much less

I mentioned this to the guy I spoke to on the phone I keep seeing people being awarded from feb he said that not true as they are working on mid December haven’t touched anything from this year apparently

Mummyof4children · 29/04/2025 17:14

PattyODawes · 29/04/2025 12:40

NC SD. 20/1 so approaching the 15 weeks.

Read that a claim from 4/2 had been done so rang for an update to be told they can’t give updates over the phone…

I keep seeing a lot of them also
I’m NC SD 6/2
I rang and asked and they said who ever has said they have been awarded from this year are lying but I dunno but they can give updates over the phone you have to press option 4 x

Amazing, my daughter needs so much. The good news is the steroids and meds are working so she's growing now after being in baby clothes for a long time! She's 4.5yrs old! And so she's outgrown lots of shoes and then due to blood/poo/mucus diarrhoea explosions a lot of leggings/joggers were ruined. So i really love the idea of taking her shopping as a treat for her to pick things and have a lovely day out! Where she's been so weak and this disease, we.haven't done very much since 2023! So my dream is to take her for a week3nd to the beach also, and do a wildlife where some enclosures you can get in and stroke the animals. That's my dream come true also. To sit in with the animals !

Yes we will hopefully get her a little beach trip where she can just run wild and be herself!! 😍😍
Sounds perfect for your little girl. Hopefully you'll hear soon xxx

NC Scan date 27/3/25

Had a letter confirming claim application and told it'll be around 15 weeks until a decision.

Been lurking for a few weeks so thought I'd introduce myself and give some additional info.

Applied for the first time after my son finally received his ASD diagnosis (waited over six years from first referrals). In hindsight, I should have applied years earlier, I didn't realise a diagnosis wasn't required 😬 He has had additional care needs since he was one, with it being noted throughout health visitor appointments, delayed milestones, nursery and then every teacher with each new school year.

Evidence wise, I've submitted his diagnosis letter, a letter from his class teacher, an educational psychologist report (from when he was 5, so a few years ago), his speech therapy report when he was 2.

My son changed schools not long ago and while Senco are aware of his struggles they haven't provided any official plans (PLP, EHCP etc). I have queried this as his previous school did provide yearly plans and they have acknowledged he's slipped under the radar and should've been having check-ins three times per school year however he's now only months away from starting secondary school, so I highly doubt they'll do anything. Hoping not having a plan doesn't count against our claim.

I've just been informed my son has received a blue badge, so I'm debating whether to send evidence of this as additional paperwork. Anyone else send blue badge confirmation as evidence?

No 🙈 I've been so tempted to call this week but don't think I can handle the "there's no updates yet call back when you've reached 25 weeks" I remember 2yrs ago phoning almost daily at 17onwards and I always had the most shittiest person answer the phone 🤣 and I remember waking up one morning and thinking to myself "I'm not even bothering today they will still be rude and say basically just wait for a letter so I'm just going to forget about it i till I hear" then about 5 minutes later recieved a text to say your child qualifies. So I think il just try hold put another 2wks then il probably cave if I haven't heard anything by then

Massive congratulations to you and your daughter, I'm so happy for you both 😊

NC

I sent everything on 06/03/25, haven’t heard anything but when I phoned up recently they said they received it on 17/03/25 and it’ll be 25 weeks from that date. So is my SD 17/03/25 then?

Haha I totally get that! With my first twin last year I was new to it all and just left it all as had no idea about it all, then found the backdated amount in my bank account! I called this time only 2 times I think about more evidence and left it again.. but then constantly reading on here and found it stressful 😂 But then wait times seem to be 18 weeks now, so called today on the off chance. He couldn’t have been nicer tbh. You should call! I definitely think you will have a decision now? I didn’t get a text either time. Let me know if you call please and good luck! And thank you. That’s so kind 😊

It really is! I think it's more the not knowing and that they leave it so late! I'd rather know at a month or 2 in advance rather then a few weeks!
