My friend sent off a renewal form around 4 weeks ago and has already heard back!

That was quick! Was that her first renewal? I’m currently 11weeks in for my sons renewal

Hi so we are a joint uc claim. I carer for daughter already. So my partner logged in ans reported he cares for my son now as he was awarded mrc. It asked lots of questions like who is the main carer etc he put me as i am here most the time were as he works more hours. Does he need to write on the journal and ask for back date payment or can i do this? As unsure now as hes the onr who made the change about caring for someone. Thanks

Wow that's record time. My renewal date is 26 of May. I sent the form back end of Jan. I called them yesterday and they said it's still not with a decision maker. I was told to call back two days before the renewal date

Me and my partner both get carers elements on uc, he did the change for care on his then I put on my journal asking for it to be backdated as we have only just received a decision from Dla and put what date to backdate it to, I know they already have this information from the change but doesn’t hurt to have it there twice 😂

They seems to be being done the week before so I would say if you call back Tuesday they should have made the decision Monday sometime.

Just woke up to a payment in my account, had to look twice cause though I was dreaming.

New claim scan date January 17th so was not expecting that yet.

I’m sure it was under payment? I would put my partner ( name ) has just done a change to carer for my child ( name ). We have just received a decision from Dla child that my ( child ) is now on middle rate care for Dla and this was backdated to 16/1/25. Please could his care element be backdated to this date. Have you asked for the disability element to be backdated too?

Coc sd 8/11 27 weeks today.
Just got off the phone to them after ringing tuesday guess what......still not with a dm! I'm at the point of telling them to forget it don't know who's telling the truth or not at the dla fed up now. * *

Does anybody know how long it takes UC to backdate i got the letter on my journal today agreeing they will backdate but not an amount, does anybody know the time it takes after this to actually receive it? Thanks x

@AmusedHazelCat i got that on my journal Monday and Thursday morning I messaged please can you clarify when I will receive my back payment and got a message in the afternoon saying how much and will be in account by Monday

UPDATE- NC SD 22/01

I posted on Tuesday (I think) when I was told not to expect it to be looked at until July (I was enquiring about whether they had received new evidence)

called back again today they’ve still not received the evidence I sent but now the claim is with a decision maker and they are just waiting to hear back off the school before making a decision.

they are working faster than they say and clearly are just trying to avoid millions of phone calls. It’s a relief but also frustrating! There’s literally no point calling up unless you are lucky and they’ve already made a decision!

I guess it depends which decision maker your claim is allocated to as well? If one goes on holiday for two weeks (as people do at this time of the year), it would make quite a difference on the timeframe of one claim vs another with similar SD.

So got my decison
My daughters awaiting assessments on adhd autism she's 13 she's struggling to understand school and is behind on everything other then hands on things she's very blank has no or to much emotion she hasn't been awarded she's going through swan which is student with additional needs at school and is also on the sen register at school she's sensory with food aswell please does anyone have advice as also they've not awarded her because she's had no doctors involvement but she has and we also have a team called early help involved with her x

Checked my tracking for forms and it's been delivered how long after will I get a confirmation saying they have them?
