SD 9/1 told on the phone my daughter was approved for low rate mobility medium rate care

Did you receive any text to inform you of decision?

Curlycookie5 · 08/05/2025 13:29

Mommaof2babas · 08/05/2025 13:14

I don't know how it works either, I'd assume it's by end claim date? And yes this is my first renewal, is it yours?

Yes this is my first renewal, I’m hoping they award for longer than 2 years this time if they ageee to renew, it’s so stressful waiting for decisions.

No I just rang they were abit hesitant on telling me I spoke to a man then they put me through to a lady and she told me she said I should receive a letter in the next couple of days

Thank you, I was just wondering my SD is the 03/01/2025 NC. I was told last Friday it was with a DM but still not heard anything and I really don’t want to ring. Such a long wait to know if it is accepted/declined. Getting a little nervous now.

I'm hoping for longer too only seems few months ago I was applying for it!

MR Scan Date 28/11 - no decision yet apparently will take 2 more weeks but Im not going to hold my breath lol!

ByChirpy · 08/05/2025 07:45

I would ring and check this because they will backdate to your SD so I'd be making sure they correct it back to the January sd rather then missing 3 months worth of backpay x

Called them up and they had actually changed the scan date on the system too!!
Even the lady on the phone couldn’t understand how or why!

Sarahlou15 · 08/05/2025 14:09

Our claim ends 12th May- Scan date 8/1- Rang today and decision was made 30/4. Awarded the same rates but for 5 years which takes him to 17 so not sure about that bit. I've not received any paperwork but they told me over the phone.

Anon3792 · 08/05/2025 17:11

My son has been awarded and I have a question about UC. It says to do change of circumstances and when I do it just asks for the date my sons circumstances has changed it doesn’t ask what the change is in order for me to apply for the disability element. Does anyone know how to do this? Iv put a note in my journal but god knows when they’ll get back to me x

Just had my sons renewal decision letter this is my first one he's been awarded HRC and HRM but his old claim doesn't end until 28/6/25 and on his old claim it's just HRM so does the care part get back dated or does it start from date old claim ends decision was fast only 8 weeks from sending forms back
