Hey! Thought I'd make a new thread as previous one very close to being full!

These threads have been a big help whilst waiting for the outcome of our application. Sure they help everyone else too! It's stressful!

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.

New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?

Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.

Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.

If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)

Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.

If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

You can definitely speak to them, just say it's a specialist question about evidence, the call handlers may try to fob you off but just insist 😊

my decision was made yesterday at 20 weeks

I have just been told her the phone that you has been awarded MRC and LRM 2030

think we’re very similar scan dates within a day or so? Mines 12/09. We will get there! I’ve seen I think 3 Septembers now and seeing more later August ones too. It’ll be our time very shortly I think. Hopefully by end of the month we’ll both have good news 🤞🏼

@SKB12 blue badge received today after 5 working days. 7 days including weekend!

Just spoke to a very lovely lady Amy who was actually very helpful to my surprise lol she empathised with the wait etc which honestly was appreciated better then the norm shpiel. So i will make notes of changes/things ive noticed that I didnt put on the form then ring back and get it added over the phone, She did end the call by saying likely to have decision before the 25weeks but not holding my breath, Thank you for your advice xx

Just saw mr from 02/08 on FB received payment today no message 👀

It's a minimum of 12 weeks wait where we are!

Congrats. Same date as me. I might phone later. Wait is over such a relief for you

Previously when I’ve done it through hidden disabilities it’s been 12 weeks. I did it through the automatic route this time and was very quick to approve and issue x

COC sd 12/08 decision made 8/1
no change to award but extended!
if I do a MRC I know another long process can I send further evidence in support the claim?

Yes, gather as much as you can and a statement arguing why you don't agree and asked for the decision to be looked at again 😊

Lots of sep dates been award today

My scan date was the 22nd august , called up 10 mins again, they said it’s pending decision!!! Wonder how long I’ll wait till I hear!! 😩

I have seen the 05.09 nc as well. I’m the 28.08 seen 27.08 today. Mine hasn’t even been opened yet or assigned. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ x

Do they note your account everytime you call loool? Might call under the guise of sending some more reports i have lool but I am on week 22 for MR. So they will probably know it it bs lool

Really! Oh gosh I know it's different places doing different sets but you would like to think they would work date by date in order, but again I get it's down to other factors.

If you phone just describe the new evidence and ask if its worth sending 😁
