Not at all, it was at renewal they just made the decision nothings changed except more complex needs as DD is older now and requires more support. Im so shocked its been reduced from HRC to LRC, i dont know how they've come to this decision with all the information I sent. Im worried now what to do

Oh I’m so sorry. Did they give reasons? X

Waitingmummy · 14/11/2024 19:53

Something about DD Doesnt need night time care even though all evidence sent shows that my child needs overnight carer and watching over due to possible underlying autism (awaiting diagnosis)

ASDmummaof2 · 14/11/2024 19:40

So I’m back on the waiting bus with this I put A MR today for mobility. So scan date 14/11. The start of my long long wait again! Just a glutton for punishment me! @MrsW12 i will be opening my bottle tomorrow with you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Ours will all get decided and it will go to a 6 week wait 🤣🤣

😂😂 I gave him a little bit of an interrogation if I’m honest. I asked how it was going with their workload and giving out overtime. He said quite well and we are doing our best to bring wait times down. I’ll be glad when it’s December kids and all the Christmas excitement will hopefully help to distract 🥴

Oh no, try not to be too anxious. I know it’s easier said than done. I totally understand. We knew for a long time our son was autistic but seeing it on his report, I cried. We love them all the same and this is all about making life that bit easier so we all have to hang in there and hope the horrendous wait was worth it.

Even when you know, it’s tough when you see it written down isn’t it? Oh she’s lush but an absolute nightmare! I just want this over now. I never thought I’d get to 21 weeks x

3/7 still waiting for Decision

I called today and queried about sending or telling them about new evidence because I was told it was with a DM Monday but she said they have until the 20th so I still had time to send it recorded delivery. I’m hoping it makes it in time. In that current panic stage now that it will be declined

HRL · 14/11/2024 20:27

SD 12/08 new claim

Monstermashermashedthemonster · 14/11/2024 21:03

Quick question can you claim carers allowance and carers element at the same time?

Waitingmummy · 14/11/2024 21:04

Thank you - fingers crossed xx

Yes but carers allowance is taken £ for £ from universal credit

JY979797 · 14/11/2024 21:18

How quick have people experienced their sent in evidence being scanned? I was 19 weeks yesterday and told I should have a decision by next Wednesday. They said if I send recorded delivery then it should be fine so I did that today but worried it won’t even be scanned on. Do I need to call them and ask them to scan it on quickly?

I'm 18 weeks today and I sent additional evidence off Monday, it arrived there at 6:23 am Tuesday and I rang before close on the same Tuesday and the lady said it was scanned at dinner time so only took around 6 hours as id assume dinner time is between 12-1😊

Amazing, Thank you! I may give them a call tomorrow afternoon and see if it is scanned on ☺️

Hello, how often do DLA contact the school? My child does mask in school so I'm worried they won't paint an accurate picture of him 😩 x

Grolma20 · 14/11/2024 23:03

sd for DD 10/7
sd for DS 17/7

SKB12 · 14/11/2024 23:08

If she requires more support they shouldn’t have reduced her award. I would definitely speak to them and ask for reasons and a MR unless they are willing to just look at the claim again. Chances are they expecting you to get in touch to disagree with their decision.

They contacted school for our claim even though school had already filled in their part. You can mention that your child tends to mask in school. It’s only one aspect of the overall picture and they should factor that in but I would mention it.
