Honestly it’s absolutely your choice. Driving as you’ve said would help everyone and no one can begrudge that. We have always used it for the benefit of the whole family. I liken it to child benefit and such, that goes in to one pot and spent where it’s needed. x

Thanks see another comment about breaking things. My son does this and picks wall and paint of the walls, banisters etc gloss isn’t cheap, so yes when you try home improvements , driving, different food needs. Etc this makes sense more. I just hate everyone saying. You put in a claim what are you going to spend it on, I think it’s so judgemental, and you think about it!

Yes my son breaks things picks wallpaper and paint off wall so yes this makes sense as well he can’t help it he just picks things. Xx

Rayne20 · 20/11/2024 16:00

Scan date for new claim 3/7 - 20 weeks today. Just called and a decision hasn’t been made yet. She said she can’t escalate it as they have until 5 today to make a decision and to call back tomorrow. I might try call after 5 if that is a possibility. 😩

PollyH3 · 20/11/2024 16:27

14 year old paint peeler here 🙈 nice to know we aren't alone with the endless decorating

It's ridiculous. I really really hope you get a decision. I got through really fast this time on Monday. So maybe try in 15 mins x

MistandFog2024 · 20/11/2024 16:30

I just phoned at 4pm and spoke to someone immediately, just incase anyone wanted a quiet time to call! I phoned because I sent my forms off on 4th November and as of yet have not received a confirmation letter to say they received it. The gentleman told me it now takes up to 4 weeks to get this letter when you apply x

She said they have until 5 so I would have to call back tomorrow for it to then be escalated. I may call after 5 if the lines are open and see if the decision has been made x

I don't know if id prefer the picking of paint or the loo wiped on the wall that my son seems to think is the thing to be done 🫠🙃

I think mine is definitely in your dm's pile as well. You'd think they'd maybe redistribute the forms to dm's who have worked faster. It literally makes me want to cry when I see dates past mine being done

BoyMummy2024 · 20/11/2024 17:14

Iv been following this for a couple of weeks now and firstly can I just say how amazing you all are with the support you give each other 🫶… my forms dated 5 June .. scan date was 11th July … I caved and rang on Monday and was told it was in a holding cue .. then I’d missed calls this morning I rang the number that was in the text I think I went straight through to the decision maker and he just verified a couple of security questions then asked if my son was still waiting for to be assessed then asked me for my bank details as the system was saying incorrect id put a wrong number ..then told me id receive a letter in a week … my mind was thinking it can’t be a no if he needed my bank details… played on my mind all day so gave in and rang … he’s been awared hrc lrm so happy … im in the middle of changing over to uc … what do I need to now … seen and few things on here about an element and a carers thing I don’t want to get it wrong … do I wait for the letter before telling them too?
thank you

Aww congratulations ❤️ well done mama. Wonderful news to start off the day

Why your claim took longer if I am not wrong took 23 weeks. If u don’t mind me asking.

My son used to do that. He got so much better but it was only because he got annoyed wiping his bum and getting poop on it. I had to give him another lesson about toilet paper and how much so you don’t get poop on you that’s was aged 8 but he still does it sometimes. Don’t get me started about weeing on the seat! He can’t put toilet seat up at 10 .. then I sit in it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Please remove. Your child’s MRN number is on display. Which is a hospital number.

Please can you remove it as I can’t
