I really don’t understand it, that’s why I said they are confusing. Seems everyone here gets different information. Having said that I seen a decision made for the 15/07 today and last week they were only on 2/07 seems so many been awarded this week. Maybe they are trying to get through the back log before Xmas and new year. Wishful thinking eh. My son really wants a ps5 for Xmas, I’m currently trying to save for it, but have 3 other children so it’s so hard. His money would help so for Xmas for him. X

They are saying whatever to get people off the phone. Some say they can see and others say they don’t know and don’t have that information yet they are all looking at the same system. I hope you hear before Christmas and can get your son his PS5 x

That’s why I thought it was weird her saying it could be done by 15 weeks surly she couldn’t and shouldn’t be aloud to say that unless she thought there was a high possibility. I’m week 12 tomorrow. The 15 weeks is week two weeks before Xmas, it’s pushing it to be honest and I’m not relying on it. He will just have to have after Xmas as that’s his only escape from reality is gaming. Or 25 weeks after that if I have to do a mr lol X

thank you.
yes senco didn’t a statement for me and included all his iep for last two years done every 3 months, the way he melts down and refuses to come in from the playground and won’t talk to adults. He will even lay in middle of road when he melts down not seeing the danger just expects cars to stop. School have also put everything extra, they help him with that isn’t funded and they. Putting in ehpc in January as they don’t want to be declined and had to build up evidence. He falls asleep in school and wakes around 4 times a night and I have to put him back to bed he is 10. He fussy with food have to cook separate then my other children and he won’t have anything touching. Can’t trust him to go park that’s across the road. He has a twin the same age and my son’s needs are massive compared to his twin.
good luck to you too x

Your son sounds like my son. If it helps, things like lying in the street have stopped as he’s got older (13) but he would think nothing of just stepping out in the road as he has no danger awareness. His sleep sadly is still awful, he’s nocturnal. We are now at the stage where he needs to see a GP to assess whether he is fit for school anymore. We don’t know what more we can do and nor do school. They have a lot in place for him but he has to go in to access it which is the battle. It makes me almost mad having to justify to DLA when we know our battles and wouldn’t wish them on anyone. You’ve got very sound evidence. I would be confident of an award. x

SKB12 · 19/11/2024 13:16

Tuesday seems to be the best days for awards. I haven’t called myself as I know we aren’t near our deadline. 15 weeks today and counting 😂

mammyoflilyandluca · 19/11/2024 13:19

SD11/7 NC so 19 weeks on Thursday, rang first thing this morning and no decision made yet, disheartening seeing people with my sd and similar getting awarded but not us🫤 always makes you think the worst hoping to hear by the end of the week but known our luck we'll be the ones who end up waiting 25 weeks for it to be declined

My son won’t cope with main stream at all, he in year 5 now and I’m pushing this ehpc for putting him not a special school but a technology school. They still do minimum maths English and science but a lot is hands on wood work and engineering, the school only holds 400 pupils I need to get him in there.
its so hard for these kids and I really do understand send parents. My daughter is 13 and just had the assessment from Chams for autism and adhd, she bloody hard work I can tell you. So honestly love I understand. If I get the award for my son I will put in dla for my daughter as well as she sneaks out at night everything, we have to have family look for her at sill Aclock as turns phone off.
I really do understand send parents at its finest. Unfortunately my daughter was just put down to being shy and social anxiety until she took a knife on the street and had intervention and they picked up on things with her very quickly x

Currently on 15 mins waiting, going to give it 5 more then take it as a sign to leave it. Feel like I'm wasting the babies nap 🤣🤣

PollyH3 · 19/11/2024 13:38

So pleased so many awards.
Although it is hard when you see dates after yours awarded. I'm at work but keep looking on here 🙈 I can't call to chase until Thursday which is probably a good thing. I was hoping for a decision before the weekend but feel like I'll be waiting until next week 😬 sd 8/7

Oh and my daughter has hardly been to school in two years. So she to deal with her 24/7. Chams and school agree it’s not the right place for her, but that’s how fair I got, don’t know what else to do I homeschool her i lose a lot of help. Xx

So angry! I’ve just rang up after being told to ring today for an update to be told my coc application is on hold due to waiting on renewal forms. My coc was scanned in 01/07

✨️positive post because these have kept me going the last couple of weeks!!✨️

19 weeks today, called up again to ask about progress/application status (have called weekly since wk 15 lol)and was told a decision has been made but that he couldn't tell me what it was and I should wait 7-10 days for a letter!! After some lovely advice I've seen on here I asked straight away if he could please put me through to someone who could and he said yes absolutely, popped me straight through to someone who told me my sons been awarded HRC!so so happy and relieved! He's 12 years old, ASD diagnosed when he was 6 ADHD diagnosed this year...I should of applied a long time ago for him.

Thank you to this group for the support and helping me keep thinking positive thoughts 💛best wishes to those still waiting this awful long wait 🤞x

Hi everyone sorry I did message yesterday but can't find the reply. How long is uc taking to backpack the disabled element on claims. They were made aware of yhr change on 30/9 but it only got sent to and DM yesterday

they sent them to me after I had sent my COC forms and told me not to worry about them as I would hear before then. My daughters claim is up 05/02 so I’m now sat doing the renewal forms to get a decision because they’ve put it on hold for some reason

Oh wow, that’s a joke. I’d be very peed off as if u haven’t waited long enough. I’ve waited since 1/7 too and still no decision it’s annoying

Holdtightrelax · 19/11/2024 14:52

plucked up the courage to ring, took 20 mins until someone answer call. 19 weeks today, lady asked me all my details, after giving her all info she turned around and said I’m not 20wks yet and call next week. Wouldn’t even tell me if it’s with a dm or nothing. Total waste of my time. A feel so deflated waiting
