Seen so many declines today on Facebook groups. Looks as if @SKB12 the person you spoke to was right because a lot of scan dates for 24/6 are getting decisions. Seen some early July aswell for MRs🤞🏽🤞🏽

Oh no, declines for MRs? Is this why they are making headway?! Decline and therefore it’s quicker to get on to the next claim and so on. I hope not. The man I spoke to couldn’t explain why July dates were being worked on and said the email they received this morning stated 24th June claim dates only

Special24 · 18/11/2024 14:24

Same scan date

Have you contacted them at all? I plan to wait but we have waited so long already

Yes a lot of declines for MR. I’m gonna make the assumptions it’s week beginning 24th, that’s why some beginning of Junes have been awarded today also

Urgh that’s worrying. I’m hoping we won’t be a decline but I think there have been more declines than not

Until I went off to look after the boys I was working full time, carers element gives you an extra nearly £200, that may be reduced due to income but if your UC award is big enough you’ll get something. Basically the more elements you have on your UC the more likely you are to get money from UC. So definitely worth it I think.

Thanks for that. I don’t work but my husband works full time. An extra £200 even if there are some deductions , would be helpful

You and your partner if I’m not mistaken can earn up to around 1200 without any deductions being made, so the extra elements are always handy

Positive thinking! I’ve seen a lot of awards just today been a few declines

True. I’m now second guessing myself. 😂

If its any help I just spoke to someone (didn't even ring I got through that fast if anyone was wanting an update) and he said they can't see if it's with a decision maker or not... So confirms the 'they'll say anything to get you off the phone' theory we all have. Still no decision so really hoping for one when I call on Friday, although I think I must be in the pile behind those still waiting with earlier dates.

I called again at half 4 and still no decision 🙈 I'm thinking going to take at least the full 20 weeks 😢

Me to, I had reasons to call last week such as asking about sending extra evidence etc but feel I have no reason to call now so I’ll be waiting until Wednesday 😂 fingers crossed for a decision by Wednesday! 🤞🏻

What's your scan date? I just say I'm calling for an update. Although I won't be able to call until Thursday now so really hope when I do a decision has been made.

A few weeks back most people were being awarded around 18 weeks 5 days, so I'd kind of prepared myself for it being last Friday. Now I'm passed that it's all I can think about

TeaG03 · 18/11/2024 18:35

MR, 19 weeks Thursday. Called today and got a really lovely lady. She said that although the time frame is 25 weeks, they seem to be deciding at around 20 weeks so to call back at 20 weeks if I’ve had no update.

MrsW12 · 18/11/2024 18:38

Please just keep calling. I was told on Friday to not call until this week as my DM was off on Friday and a decision was made of Friday! I had a weekend of hell for nothing! X

My scan date is 3/7 so 20 weeks Wednesday. I remember when I was at 15 weeks people were getting awarded around 17 weeks and then when it got to 17 weeks for me it was getting longer and longer wait 😩 seen so many people with my scan date and after being awarded including my mum (she put in a claim for my younger sister and was awarded last Tuesday - we had the same scan date).

I last called Friday and still wasn’t a decision so thought to myself I’ll just wait now until 20 weeks (Wednesday) to ask again 🥴

Mines 1/7 rang today as its 20 weeks exactly and still nothing told to ring back in couple of days but knowing me I’ll ring back tomorro to be told same. Last week I got told it’s at top of que to be looked at and when I rang today they said they couldn’t see anything on screen to say it’s with a decision maker or not. They all tell you different things. Hopefully we’ll all get good news soon
