I think it's such a horrible emotional roller-coaster. Like when someone with a date after yours gets awarded, you feel really pleased that their child is getting what they deserve and that their wait is over, while also feeling the "why have they been done before me" feeling. Who's calling this morning? I'm a bag of nerves 😬

MrsW12 · 18/11/2024 09:01

It’s 9am! Could be any time now for us all 🤞🏻

So true. And then you see those that are on week 20+ still waiting and you can't help but feel that could be you in a week's time. We've decided to wait and call next Monday when we are on week 20 exactly

Everyone is so supportive of each other on here and are genuinely pleased to see others get awarded. It’s lovely. But of course we all
wish it was our time. I think my wait is a bit more unusual because of writing to the school. Don’t let this dishearten you. I bet this is your week x

In my head, because of the weekend we should get a decision by Friday, even though I know we absolutely could be waiting until next Monday or longer! I'm crossing everything lots of us hear today. I think the wait times are definitely still creeping up aren't they.

Aww I fully get this, I think I maybe to do with the decision maker reading through evidence etc, my sons was awarded at just over 18 weeks recently but my evidence was minimal and was easy to see the highlighted points as didn’t need to read much, when I did my daughters I sent about 40/50 pages of Doctors letters from about 10 different departments so can imagine the reading time on that for them to find the information they are looking for, good luck darling xxx

SKB12 · 18/11/2024 09:12

I called to see if they received further evidence I sent in last Monday. Not yet, I did send freepost and again on Saturday gone as they are in no rush to look at our claim!

zoeybrooks45 · 18/11/2024 09:15

good luck everyone for today, please update the thread. ❤️ xx

Apparently they are working on scan date of 24th June for MRs. He said that was the latest date provided to them from the DLA office as of this morning.

SKB12 · 18/11/2024 09:19

Kc1999x · 17/11/2024 17:35

Mine is an MR scan date 18/07 I call once a week😂 I don’t trust these decision makers to work in date order

Scan dates of 24th June for MRs according to decision maker I spoke to this morning. He said he would give it around 6 weeks for us to hear back on scan date of 06/08.

PollyH3 · 18/11/2024 09:26

I am already itching to call 🙈 but I know its completely pointless as Friday afternoon it wasn't done, and it's all been very quiet on decisions on here and fb all weekend 😬 the last bit is definitely the hardest part

ThisNoisyTurtle · 18/11/2024 09:33

FYI for a bit of context on DM working arrangements if anyone's interested - they have a flexible working policy. If it's the same as mine (I also work for a government department), they will be allowed to do their work hours during a set period in a day, such as anywhere between 7am and 7pm Mon-Fri. Any work done outside of the that will be overtime. Although most will work 'normal' types of hours there will be some fitting their hours in around other commitments, so there is the possibility of getting decisions early or late in the day 😊

Just seen an award on FB this morning for the same SD as ours 😬

I’m gonna keep an eye on the groups on Facebook if I see anyone close to ours I’m ringing up

18 weeks 3 days tomorrow! Feeling nervous now but in my head it’s a decline so can’t be disappointed. 12/07. Let’s hope for lots of awards next week. Xx

New on this page! 👋
Ours is also a new claim which was scanned 12/07! Fingers crossed we hear something this week X

I get this I was woke up in June sons renewal claim by a dm at 7am in the morning asking to check my address (we had house moved since I did the renewal and the paper work was different to the system) and he was awarded at 7.30 I got a text to say it had been completed 2 days later uc messaged on my journal asking me to change the care rates accordingly so this definitely can happen any day of the week
