Mine is an MR scan date 18/07 I call once a week😂 I don’t trust these decision makers to work in date order

TeaG03 · 17/11/2024 17:41

Out of curiosity, does anyone’s child get HRC due to being on a medication that affects sleep? DS is asd anyway which certainly doesn’t help his sleep, but medication is for a medical condition; side effects are excessive hunger and insomnia, DS suffers from both and this does mean I’m regularly up at night with him. GP has declined melatonin for the time being and said the medication absolutely cannot be reduced because it is keeping his condition at bay. I’ve sent off his medication box along with the book of side effects circled so they can see the solid evidence there 😅 Just wondering what the opinions of DLA are likely to be on this matter… 18.5 weeks into MR for (hopefully) an increase on his current award.

It really is. Just need to be put out of my misery now. I'm not enjoying the weekends at all as I just want it to be Monday! Completely bonkers. Really hope next week is the week for a lot of us

I feel exactly the same. I’m so glad it’s Sunday night! I hope a lot of us get answers next week 🤞🏻

20/07 and not a peep. Have refrained from calling as seems pointless at this stage. Has anyone ever achieved anything by calling? Any clear info about timescale etc?

I’ve seen a lot of people that when their child is tube fed they get HRC

How strange it must definitely depend on who you get or age. Shes been tube Fed since she was 5 weeks old and it’s definitely going to be a long term thing

It does make you feel like you've lost all hope doesn't it! Specially when you see dates around yours and after being dealt with. Fingers crossed alot of us hear something this week.

PollyH3 · 17/11/2024 21:36

I've thought about it but I feel like I wasn't as anxious over the weekend as it was almost like feeling pretty certain they weren't going to make a decision over the weekend. But now it's Monday tomorrow and a decision should be made this week I feel sick. I called about 3pm Friday so no point calling first thing, so let's see how long I hold out 🙈

Yes it’s one of the many things on the Facebook group I’ve seen. If the child is tube fed all day/night they always seem to have HRC from what I’ve seen on there. Obviously I’m not a decision maker and can’t speak for the DLA but the groups on Facebook it always seems to be the same🤷🏽‍♀️

This is me. My date is 18/07 for MR. I’ve seen awards after mine being awarded and then some just before. It’s the wait makes the anxiety go through the roof

SD 14/08 for New Claim

Hi just wondering what is classed as extra evidence? Not sure if I need to or should inform DLA as there has been further referrals requested by physio and portage since application was sent in. An assessment appointment is through for SALT in Jan and he has been referred for boots from Orthotics by physio. I've had results back from his microarray testing which didn't show anything. Just worried whether I have given enough info as I know it's difficult getting an approval for a 2 year old. He is 28 months & delayed in all areas, has been categorised as 0-11 months development.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Another weekend waited out. I didn't see a single award over the weekend, it was so quiet on the FB groups. SD 12/07 new claim. Told they'd mark it as urgent 11 days ago and nothing every time I phone, I don't believe a word they say at this point. I'm praying to hear this week, this wait is so so hard.

I didn't either. I'm hoping decisions were made just no texts sent out and that this week will have lots of awards 🤞 I already want to call up 🙈 but going to hold out until this afternoon if I can. Good luck everyone, hopefully lots of awards that will help our babies

MrsW12 · 18/11/2024 07:28
